Odd Task, Odd Engine(Large Photo's O' Possible!)

I'm trying to be interesting again with my threads.. :p

In short, engines doing jobs they weren't imaged performing... or really an engine you'd NOT except to see doing a certain task.(For example, a 3F Jinty pulling an US Sized freight, yes I know it's unrealistic and the train wouldn't even slightly budge, just helping to stretch what I mean by Odd Task, Odd Engine)

To start us off, an A4 performing freight work, image from the wonderful David Heys collection site. http://www.davidheyscollection.com/page6.htm

Must admit, I'd rather agree myself a A4 would be good at this task, I don't mind discussion on photographs if you'd like to give opinions.
So, what have you got to share?

This is on the EJ&E, not exactly sure when, but its a SW1200 leading a Baldwin center cab. it was common to run trains like this at the time, though it dose look a bit strange to have a switcher leading a mainline freight.

Before the Mk4s and DVTs were delivered, Class 91s had to pull Mk2s:

HST power cars on their own just look sad:

What makes it even wierder is that it was carrying passengers at the time! Apparently it was taking them from a derailment in a tunnel to the nearby Luxulyan station.

Yup, only in England.

Must of been pretty noisy! I presume they were behind the engine room?

Which brings me onto a question, what exactly is behind the cab and engine room? What's it's purpose?

Guards compartment. It must have been terribly uncomfortable as it was only intended for one or two people.
I should point out that guards complained about the noise levels in there and the guards compartment was later moved in to one of carriages.
