Odd problems with the BR Class 90s - Not appearing on Track

Hi Trainzers,

Here is an odd problem to work out.

I have the BR Class 90s installed (including the BR Class 90 Freightliner Greeen, which is required to make the rest work) and the required dependencies.

There are no errors reported with these assets.

The problem is two-fold. The first part is that the engine itself does not appear in Driver, but the train it is hauling does. This is quite odd to see a string of wagons running along the track without seeing an engine.

The second part is the following Jetlog error:

1:55.9 : TrainCarSpec::PrecacheMesh> Train data was not cached for '<kuid2:283805:90017:1> "BR Class 90 EWS"' - could not load mesh.

The asset KUID and name varies though.

Version is TS2009 SP4 build 44653, and all assets used are as from the Download Station with no modifications.

If anyone has any ideas what the problem might be, let me know.

I think the problem might be with the bogie - BR Class 90 Bogey - 90009,<kuid:318250:90000> - updating this via CCP will find the correct .im file.

Worth a look anyway...

Chris

Edit: The above may be a red herring, I was looking at the 90s recently uploaded by matthew80 rather than the ones a while ago by tmz06003.

Hi Chris,

For some reason I didn't even previously have that bogie installed, but I am checking it.

The issues have been happening with the following class 90s:

BR Class 90 EWS,<kuid2:283805:90017:1>
BR Class 90 Freightliner green,<kuid2:283805:90016:1>
BR Class 90/0 Freightliner grey,<kuid2:283805:90041:1>
BR Class 90/1 Freightliner grey,<kuid:283805:90141>

Shane,

I have just downloaded the BR Class 90 EWS and all dependancies and all works fine on my system. I have the same Version and build number as you and from what I remember our system specs are similar. The loco is fine in compatibility and native modes.

I know that this doesn't offer a solution but you could delete and re-download?

Just tried that, and for some reason it's solved the issue.

I'm guessing there was a fault with my previously downloaded version.

Shane

P.S. Thankyou for your suggestions.

I updated my first post with an edit but we "crossed in the post" again!!

Oddly I still think it's worth checking out the bogie on BR Class 90 Freightliner green,<kuid2:283805:90016:1> - if you run the cl 90 through CCP (thus updating it to TS09/10) it throws an error on the BR Class 90 Bogey,<kuid:283805:50016>.

The other 90s by tmz06003 are aliased to 283805:90016:1 ...

The bogie configs of my class 90 uploads were all written for the version they were uploaded at the time ie. TRS2004 and not in containers.

If you change the build to 2.5 or higher without re-writing the bogie reference completely in containers then that will force an error.

There have been some mesh reference issues in the assets recently loaded by Mathew80 but these are being resolved on UK Trainz so look out for updates.
