Obsolete items not showing on layout, though available in Surveyor

I had some items on a layout that weren't picked up from the DLS after I transfered it from '06 to 2010 so I downloaded them again. One (of several)was obsolete, but was available in Surveyor. However, it didn't appear on the route even though there were many placed on the map. Why not?

If it's showing as Obsolete, it means that Content Manager is aware of a newer version that has been installed. Might be worth using 'View Asset Versions' on the right-click menu to check the latest version (which will be the one with the highest number at the end of the KUID. (usually in the form of <kuid:xxxxx:xxxxx:xxx> (The part in bold is the part you need to check - it may be a 1,2,or 3 digit number up to 127).

Once you find the latest version of an asset, see if it is missing any dependencies or if it is faulty.

Actually, there is an error in the item(s)

Warning: Tag 'category-era-0' in the container 'scenery' is obsolete.

I corrected it, but the item still doesn't appear on the map.

That's only a warning, which should not affect the item appearing.

Check if it has any missing (or possibly faulty) dependencies.
