NYCTA2007: Some concerns regarding layout

NYC Subway stations with same names

I'm not sure if I should make a new thread for this or not, but I've noticed that the NYC Subway has several stations with the same name for example:

Their are three 86 Street stations (on both sides of Central Park), about five Canal Street stations, two 34 Street-Penn Stations, but a very good example are two Park Places, one at the south end of Manhattan Island, and another Park Place on the Franklin Ave - Prospect Park Shuttle.

Are their any extra wordings on the official station names with the same names to distinguish them from other stations with the same name, or has NYC truly got multiple different stations with the exact same name? (If so it must be confusing to passengers/ticket sellers)

Jeff, on the Franklin Ave - Prospect Park Shuttle, you have Fulton Street as the terminus, yet two subway maps both use the name Franklin Ave.

There are streets named "Broadway" in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, and Staten Island. I thought that Broadway was in Manhattan only. The Franklin Avenue shuttle runs along Franklin Avenue and ends at Fulton Street. I knew that the tracks on what is now Franklin Avenue shuttle turned into BMT Fulton Avenue route before that route was torn down and replaced by the IND Fulton Avenue route. I think that a new station was built at the end of the shuttle when the BMT Fulton Avenue route was torn down. The "Tracks of NYC Subway" book said that the station at the end of the shuttle is "Fulton Street". I was using that book when I was creating my NYCTA subway system. Can someone go to the station at the end of the shuttle and see its name?

On the Franklin Ave (Fulton St) - Prospect Park shuttle, were their any stations called Dean St & Consumers? (They were marked on the wall maps of a Subway store.)

There was Dean Street station on Franklin Avenue Shuttle but it was torn down when the shuttle was rebuilt several years ago. MTA was planning to shut down the shuttle but people living around the shuttle protested. I don't know of station called "Consumers".

Consumers Park

Consumers Park was the original Botanic Garden station. It t=was torn down in the 1930s and replaced with Botanic Garden
