Is that the East portal at Tunnelhill ?

This is what it looked like in the 1970's prior to the tunnel crown mining project.

For some odd reason the single track to the (now closed) Galitzin bore did a dog leg just before entering the bore. There were 2 massive tunnel ventelation air fans there, and brick buildings years ago (nothing remains except a 3' concrete wall that you show).

Looking great!

Are those grey rocks textures or separate objects in post #527? They look really good. Fit right in.

Thanks, Their textures dricketts, you should find them to be built-in under "TS09" or something and yeah I think the effect worked quite well there. :)

The SD70 is a reskin from Andrew R of TBLW and is unlikely to be released, hopefully Justin might get one sorted for JR in the not too distant future.

Glad ur liking all the pics everyone, the transition from 09 to 12 has been pretty smooth I think. most content seems to have survived the upgrade with just some thumbnail and build number warnings.

Progress is fairly steady atm, adding roads and other splines to the more suburban areas around Johnstown and Altoona, and slowly filling in the gaps one block at a time... Much work still to be done, not to mention I'll probably need to upgrade my PC before the route gets completed- When viewing some of the more vast areas of forrest on the east slope it tends to slip into the single digits, hence the reason why there hasn't been a video yet.

Feedback is always welcome :)

Nowhere near finished, but i thought I'd show you guys what Ive been up too, this is Rose yard, and pretty much is the last major one left in Altoona. Here crews are refreshed at a small platform behind the hopper cars before heading up and over the hill to Johnstown. The track work is pretty much done (its not easy laying all thoughs ladders on a 0.5% grade) and I just wanted to show it off :hehe:

This kid seems to know Altoona pretty well and has managed to find some good spots for photography of the yard i reckon. :)

That looks REAL !

We used to sit on the concrete steps at Rose, eating Pal Minos pizza and drinking chocolate milk, and watch trains at Rose all day long, talking with train crews and employees ... as long as we were on the steps, we were not trespassing.

Sadly, they took out the steps completely.

Route looks fantastic! I really like the addition of pofigs trees personally although I may be one of the only ones. :hehe: keep up the good work.!

I do too, I'm impressed with the looks of his trees, However, it means I can't use this route when it comes out, unless I get TS12... :(
