NS Pittsburgh Sub (Large Pics)

Sceenshots from the next video im making :) Hardly any progress on the route since the last update though, that life stuff is getting in the way...

Can anyone recommend any editing software out there? Im using iMovieHD atm

Looking good scratch!

Google VirtualDub and let me know what you come with. It's been a while since I used it but I was fairly happy with it. I used fraps to capture the video and VirtualDub to compress it to something manageable for upload to youtube. If I remember correctly you can play with the compression settings and by trail and error I found a balance between quality and file size I was happy with.

Hmmm, i had a look at that virtualdub site, I think i need something to edit properly in, and then export it to the right settings.. If i could export what Ive edited in iMovie throu that somehow that would help. Ill keep researching, thanks Dricketts :)

Nice video Scratch! What software to you end up using for your conversion? Have you also tried recording to an external drive when using FRAPS? I got some frame rate improvment by doing that.

Thanks! In the end i found a program on my mac called iMovie, its a really old version but it looks like ive got an excuse to upgrade it now :) I havnt tried that no but ill be sure to give it a go now. I've also decided im going to ditch FRAPS for the free version of bandicam for future videos. I actually noticed an improvement in frames as well as the 10 min limit on recording (free fraps is 30sec...)

superb scenry.how did you manage to get such draw distance.me even setting view out of ccan almost getting half a baseboard rest remain hidden

Hey, scratchy, I have another question on those signals. Will there be a distinction between the standard and the red-eye signals? Will we have separate signal sets, or will the versions be selectable in the properties tab, like Grahamsea's signals?

it is a selection made in the signal properties. The exception is for that one shown here: http://hostthenpost.org/uploads/f88454b22609cae2781136d0208fc52e.jpg , it is always red on the top head.

dont use junk assets. the game functions better if you use efficient and well created items. this will cuase the draw distance to be much greater.

Ok. Cool. I kinda figured that one siding signal stayed red, seeing that the top head only had the two lights. I'm a big PRR fan, so I can't wait for these signals.

Not to pull the convo away from Scratchy's excellent work, but how does the common route builder determine junk assets from the preferable assets?

Go into surveyor<options<developer settings and show performance stats in surveyor, this list will show a heap of stuff as well as what your worst performing asset is :)

Great shots- I LOVE the first one..... I want that house so I can sit on the porch with my iced tea and watch the trains go by. Sadly, my wife does not share my enthusiasm for living so close to the tracks. I sure will miss her......;)
