Well on my last post, I've been making MANY attempts to convert from MSTS to Trainz objects, and some worked, and some din't work because of an error (it was a pain of my ashtray!) caused by (one user told me this) because some old shape files are in ACSII encoding instead of Unicode (required for conversation). What does it mean? well, I'll let the user quote this:

Hmm, the error probably means the old MSTS file is written in plain ascii. This means, to say it simple, that it's build up using 8bits of space for each symbol or character. Unicode is a more recent devellopment where, because of making files capable to contain different languages and character sets, like arabic, chinese, the position for one symbol or character is represented by 16bits space. Obviously the conversion program you try to use chokes on non Unicode files.

Maybe you can use notepad. In win 7 at least in the save dialog there's a setting that lets you choose between ANSI (plain ascii), Unicode, Unicode big endian and UTF-8. I would try the two unicode flavours first and if that doesn't work do a search with google for something like "ascii to unicode converter" + freeware.
I've did convert to Unicode using notepad, but turned it into an improper file format! and he told me to search for a unicode converter, but it's getting me nowhere! AAAARRRRGGGG!!!!!!!!!!! :'(:'(:'(:'(

So for now, I'd had to remake the ENTIRE station from scratch in Blender using the same textures from MSTS and made some adjustments to the widith and height to the Tunnel. but the problem is, it's too high. So i had to replace it with the Subway tunnels by magicland. and some splines to cover some ground up.
