I don't quite see what the problem is your having in surveyor/operators/engineers. What is it you can't do?

G'day cvkiwi, you don't have to remove TS10 to put TS12 in they will happily both work on the same PC, I have everything from UTC up mon my PC and no conflicts so the only reason is if you have a very small hard drive.

G'day cvkiwi,

Chris, as noted above, by gremlin1812, ALL versions of Trainz are designed to be installed into their own individual directories on your Hard Drive and to work COMPLETELY INDEPENDENTLY of each other. If you follow the correct installation instructions, TS 2012 will be installed separately from TS 2010 on your HDD and will create it's own Desktop Icon, which, incidentally, is different from the one provided by TS 2010. The only 'issue' that could arise from this activity is that there is insufficient space on your HDD to accommodate both programs and everything else that may already be there. In fact, if if there is plenty of room (and your computer has sufficient 'hardware overhead' to allow it), it is possible to have both programs open simultaneously (although, of course, you cannot 'work' in both of them at once). Each version 'keeps' the stuff that you have diwnloaded 'for' it in it's own special folder, so everything that you have downloaded already for TS 2010 will stay available for TS 2010. The stuff that you download to use in TS 2012 will be stored in a separate folder and will ONLY be available for TS 2012...

...be brave, just follow the installation instructions for TS 2012 and I guarantee that there will be no problems...

Here's one way. TS 10 is around 8 GB, and TS 12 is about 10 GB. So, get two 16 GB thumbdrives, or SD cards, and install one version to each. Alternatively, on my present computer, I have the four versions of TRS / TS that I own, each in their own subfolder, in the folder N3V. The each work fine, and I have, at times, had more than one open at once (though not necessarily for the purpose or intent of running or creating routes.
