the story behind engine 1118 was she and two other 1134 and 918. The so called "Lost Engines of Roanoke" languished in the company's yard in South Jefferson St for nearly fifty years untill 2009 were Finally, in August 2009, all three were moved out of the Virginia Scrap Iron & Metal yard destined for restoration. However only 1134 has been completely restored and on static display. sadly 1118 looks like this at Ronoake Museum of transportation. My two questions is. Is anyone going to make a N&W Class M2? And as you read above did 1118 restoration on hold because of money or is there another reason she still looks like this wreck?
