No Speed Trees

Trundra vegetation. I eliminated Speed Trees. I have never seen trees that look like many of them. So, went to compatibility mode and replaced everything with vegetation from Trunda. Stuttering is reduced. While you loose some FPS in compatibility mode you gain some from not using Speed Trees. 50fps seems good for:
2ghz dualcore, 2gb memory, nVidia 240 512mb video card

Looking forward to Aurans new animated Speed Tumbleweeds:

I agree. The Tundra/Greenery trees are excellent!

You do need to ensure that you treat the baseboard with a good herbicide first though. You never know when any previous growth might pop up.

A simple PaintShed reskinned tanker load, preferably two, is recommended.

There hasn't been a route I've made in the last 2 years that didn't have These trees on it! Their to die for! (Dermmys Current Project and Roon's RBM&N Are Prime examples)

@boleyd

But your RailTracks looks very badly. Not real good.

Tree's are nice, Jankvis Tree Series for Compatible Mode are also nice.

I noticed in a recent thread, another Trainzer was wanting to eliminate SpeedTreez, but that it is quite difficult to do. There seems to be some problem with automatic replacement methods.

I'm interested in how you did it.

I love tundra's trees except they do seem to have lighting problem in TRS2009. They look far better in TRS2004. Anyone else have this experience?:eek:

Yes - it's because the light 0 tag no londer works. Pretty much all old style trees suffer from this in TS09/10.

Note that a lot of old-style trees look quite good in native mode in TS2010, because of the change made in the way alpha blender items are rendered. Not perfect, but you can have low poly trees and native mode...
