No speed gauge

Hi, I'm new to these forms and was wondering if anyone could help me with a problem. Any time I'm driving a train there is no speed gauge outside of the cab view, and the dcc speed knob doesn't show up no matter what.
(BTW how do I post a picture from my computer, because the picture shows the problem but it asks for a URL to post it.)

The Function keys F5 to F9 toggle various parts of the controls try them one at a time, you might have toggled the dcc control panel off by accident.

To post a picture you need to use a service like Photobucket to upload the picture from your system, then use the sharing option to get the URL.

Also, if the session is running in Cab mode, you will only be able to control the train inside the cab or by using keyboard shortcuts (this can be changed by going into Surveyor, then clicking Edit Session, then Startup Options, then Edit (this is at the bottom of the Edit Session box).

The option you want is the first changeable setting - if you want to be able to choose each time, set it to Ask User.

EDIT: It may be worth adding Set Driver Conditions (<kuid:99999:696969>) to your session if you want to change between cab and dcc mode during the driver session)

This is what I'm talking about, In the red circle, no speed gauge nothing in any mode, view, or session. Iv'e tried everything I could think of but nothing worked!
(Sorry about the picture size)

The small red/orange circle in the lower right corner says you have a script error or faulty asset. What route/session is this (kuid number?)or is this something you made?

I may be completely wrong here, but to me it looks like Surveyor and Driver seem to have appeared at the same time (last time I had that happen (In TRS2006 this was) I had to rollback to an earlier version of the route.

Does that problem happen with all routes or specific routes? If it's all routes, you may have to reinstall.

This is a route I made but this happens on every route, every session...
The installer for TRS 2009 does not have a reinstall/modify so if I run the installer will it just overwrite all the files, or will it just install the missing files?
This is driver mode, it just the one in surveyor where you click the button the the upper left hand corner and it lets you drive your route weather it's complete or not.

I ran the installer again, and just made things worse, now I'm getting 3fps instead of 150. By reinstall do you mean delete the trainz folder in my program files and do a fresh install? If so, how do I keep all my routes and DLC?

By re-install I mean using the Add/Remove Programs feature built into Windows (Programs and Features in 7 (and possibly Vista) to remove the program, then installing again from the discs or setup files if downloaded.

To backup your content you need to copy the local folder inside the Trainz folder to a safe location before uninstalling.
