The sounds have recently stopped working in 2010. The train sounds and horns work, although sometimes faulty, but none of the car sounds or sound assets create any sound. Does anyone know how to fix this or if ive muted something?

This might sound crazy, but have you changed your speaker settings recently, or updated your sound card?
The reason why I ask is because I reset up my computer recently and reconnected my speakers. In the card setup screen, I inadvertently chose Dolby Surround Sound instead of Headphones as the output device. As a result of my mis-click, I ended up having no bell sound or outside sounds. I could hear the engine and the horn, but nothing else when driving or outside the train.
