After extending my Shoeburyness route I tested the add on expecting a smooth ride (no junctions so pretty streightforward) but train cant find a path. I've relaid the track and it's all going in the same direction and there aren't any other trains or signals yet (as I'm still laying trackwork (I read somewhere that you can't put new track beyond a signal so I'm not taking any chances).
Cheers for your help guys
Andy
Hi Andy,
I've placed plenty of track beyond a signal when laying my track. The AI trains will stop at the signal and not proceed any farther after it. because the line is closed.
The no path problem can be caused by simply over-looked things that you don't notice when building. I have had the following things creep in, and only show up when I've tried the session.
1) Broken track at industries. The industry, or station, is placed, but I forgot to connect the track to them. The circles happened to overlap so they looked like they were connected, but they weren't. It was quite a time finding the broken track.
2) Problems with road crossings. The problem is similar to above, but was cause by adjusting the ground around the crossing. This "broke" the connections and the trains wouldn't budge past them and prompted me with the message.
3) Broken track.
Look for white circles and cracks in the track.
4)
of course a missing junction lever that you don't have a problem with because there are no junctions on your route.
5) Directoin markers.
How do I find them, I scan the more recent part of the route manually in Surveyor, and check the connections. Check your direction markers too if there are any.
