No Friend requests please
I have decided the time has come and past for me to retire from these forums. I am taking the opportunity of using my post count of 5000 to announce my leaving.

I have been with the forums and Trainz for quite some time now, have out lived my usefulness many times over, and have gotten completely away from the creating I used to enjoy. I have worked with quite respectable members and creators, have sparred with many, and hopefully helped out a few along the way.

I've been wrong many times, been right a few times, been insufferable, detestable, kind and sarcastic at the same time. In short, I'm no different from any of you.

I have some favors to work on for some of you, and now that the doctors say I should be able to regain proper vision soon, I plan to make good on past promises. Until then I plan to teach myself to avoid this site, and that will require some adverse conditioning.

Anyway, anything new I release will show up at TPR's download depot, and then the DLS (if I can figure out how to upload again)!

I wish my friends here well, and my enemies the same. After all; it's only a game, and life is too short to hold grudges over such a simple thing. My best to you all.:wave:

Well I've not been here very long but I had come to regard you Ed as one of the corner stones of this forum, I have actually learned quite a lot from your posts for which I thank you, good luck for the future and hopefully we may see you on here again.

Well, this is one thing I did not expect to see/hear. I have had many laughs and learned a bit from your posts. I will miss you and your sayings. Look after yourself and don't let life get you down. All the best for the future.

As much as it seems at times to be the center of the universe, there really is more to life than Trainz, at least there should be. As he said, its a only a game folks, so enjoy it. :wave:

If you're finding yourself alone at 2 am in front of the screen too often, close the computer and go to bed. Trainz will still be there in the morning. If your children ask their mother who the stranger at the computer is, come up for air. If their mother starts to ask the same question, you're in way too deep. :o

So my forum friend, good luck and drop by once in a while to say hello.

I'm really sorry to hear this. But I also know we all get burned out. Take a break, have a rest, but also keep in contact. Many of us do enjoy reading some of your posts, even if we can't 'leave' them ;)

I do wish you luck in where your hobby takes you next, and hope you enjoy it. :)

And remember the main part of what makes Trainz...

Glad to hear you're not giving up creating. Just had a two week break from the forums, it's not as difficult as you think.

You must have looked at the calendar wrong. Today's not April fools day. Please tell me it's not so. One of the highlights of my day, each and every day, is to come to the forums and be entertained by your wit. You have given me so many laughs, but beyond that, you have been one of the most helpful members on this forum.
I will miss you Ed, but I hope all of the best for you and pray that your vision will continue to improve.
I hope that after a short break, that you will miss us too and decide to return. If not, thanks for the memories.

I too am unique, not at all like 'all the rest'. (jest joking!, Pleeeease don't throw stones at me! Ooowwww! ).:hehe:

Ed, over the years many here have come to appreciate the input wisdom expertise skills & unique blend of generosity humor ('humour' for us Yingluish mob), sometimes misunderstood as sarcasm, & downright 'good bloke' stuff that you are.

Take care & know that although you are 'away' from here for awhile, you are not forgotten & we look forward to good reports of health progress etc., & hopefully occasional 'dropping ins', as you work through your addiction.
Here, I mean!!!! (Oh heck!....here comes those stones again!!!!) :confused::'(

Ed over the nearly 7 years I have been on the forums, you are the one who has made me laugh/chuckle the most. It has be a great pleasure to read your post and something I will miss. I remember one time when you where "missing" from the forums for a while and I checked with others if they knew where you where (no one knew).

As others have also said, you have helped everyone on the forum (including me) in one way or the other.

You will be missed by everyone I am sure, but I hope from time to time you drop in and say "Hi".
