No Foliage on trees

Have recently bought TS12--in surveyor and quite a few trees do not have foiliage--they look dead!!! Plenty of branches but no leaves---any ideas why. I have the latest patch.

Cheers

Keith

I should have added that in object viewer they have leaves but once placed they do not--example is the Elm tree.

Is there a fix??

In Surveyor, click the "Main menu" button at the top-left corner of the screen, choose "Edit Environment", choose the tab with the globe icon, and use the arrows above the calendar to change the month to a spring/summer month (if you want green leaves) or fall month (if your want fall leaves).

Regards,

Zachary.

See now there's a handy tip. Currently downloading TS12, let's see what it does. Nice to see you still kicking about, johnwhelan. :)

That's one of my favorite quirks with the SpeedTreez - they change with the seasons. Now, if only we had SpeedGroundz textures to match.

There are seasonal textures as well as well as seasonal splines, which I'm not sure have been made yet. Look them up on the DLS for the textures though. I've never used them, so I can't say what they're like.

Handy info, thanks! However, How do you change seasons? I've set the date and world origin correctly, so I would think that would give me summertime in the northern hemisphere, but I still have leafless trees. I have TS12/48249 - haven't patched up yet. Will that fix or is something else going on?

Thanks!

By changing your calendar to a winter month, such as December or January, you should see brownish textures for seasonal textures, and bare trees. If you set the snow level to be lower than it is at currently (due to a bug in TS12), these textures should turn white, and some railcars, if they've been configured properly. will have snow on their tops.

Probably the route region is in the southern hemisphere, should be set correctly when starting a new route after that it's change / correct in the config.

Another thing that changes the leaves on trees is the altitude over sea level, or snow line. Play with it, is interesting.
