NKP 765: Returning to the mainline in '09!

Just read this on the 765's website! http://www.765.org/Second_Section/Entries/2008/10/7_765_to_Attend_TrainFestival_2009!.html. 765 wil be heading up to Owosso, Mi. to once again join Pere Marquette 1225 for mainline excurions! :D According to the site, 765 will pull a DAY LONG passenger excursion on July 26th, 2009. (Boy I'd hate to see the price for that one... :p) This is it.... after 12 years of restoration and 3 years without any excurions, 765 is returning to it's true glory! :D

true, but that was was nearly 4 years ago. Nothing has come this way recently.

Although I am happy another steamer has returned to service.
 
I think NS is restarting their steam program. I'm pretty sure that NS has finalized plans to finance the restoration of the 4501 and run her. There are also rumors of this happening to the 611.

...and yet, no mainline steamer STILL wants to go to S. Louis.:(

If the 4501 is doing mainline excursions, she'll for sure be in St. Louis as that is where she spent the last part of her career on the Southern.
 
Hehe, don't mean to be a party pooper, but I will be the 2nd engineer on the trip as well as fireman.
