News Flash.....BNSF ends leasing of Pioneer & Freedom with CSX after a decade......

With the changing political climate going pro-coal, the BNSF railroad has decided to end a long term leasing agreement with the CSX Transportation company. Ending 10 years of trackage rights to the increasingly productive coal fields of Pioneer and Freedom located in the heart of Tennessee.

With this announcement the BNSF railway has under taken a major upgrade to the railroads infrastructure including replacing wooden ties with concrete ties and replacing aging bridges and RR crossings while adding new tracks to make this a more efficient rail network.

Watch as a trio of BNSF GP38-2s pull one of the first coal drags out of Pioneer.........

Features:

BNSF signage replacing previous CSX versions
Concrete ties replace wooden ties
Expanded siding next to coal unloader so trains do not interfere with ATLS crossing
Crossover tracks added to coal unloader and west of main coal mine for better multi train operations
Creek color changed from transparent to more muddy look
Operating block signal system and staging yard signals
Graffiti added to additional areas

Well good evening Railhead001,

I see you've been up to Good again....:hehe:

:p Keep up the great work, I like the idea of Expanded Siding with regard to ATLS issue, I've had issues with crossings too close to working operations before and had to renegotiate the Tracks around, like anything, changing existing versus making new untouched area can be a challenge sometimes.

I've been fooling around with NG lately trying to learn the YING & YANG of the beast in reference to width of Rails (oh my is there a lot of Gauges) and the best availability of Rail equipment in reference to T:ANE environment! I have much to learn from what I see, and it won't happen in a Year.......LOL

One question, could you show the dial setting on the Muddy Water Color Change....?

Thanks for sharing your improvements..............

Blue,

Actually it is not so much the dial setting but what you use to texture the river or creek bed itself. This issue had been bugging the hec out of me until one day I was staring at the creek in the video and noticed the texture
that was showing..........I thought what if I added a darker green or brown to it and bingo. That's the secret to making the "transparent" water go away and look more realistic . You have to really fool around with the different textures
to get it the way you want it to look but its worth it.

:o I'll be dog!

Here all this time I thought it was getting those dials just right, makes sense..... Thanks for the heads up............I'm off and running to try that out.........Cheers
