Newbie trouble with invisible stations

Sorry if I am posting a simple question but I have just started to experiment with AJS invisible station. Problem is, no matter which way I try, I keep getting error message 'no path to destination'. I even get this if I put the station just a short distance in front of the loco to test it. :oI have tried laying the station under the track and over the track and I am obviously doing something wrong. Any ideas anyone?

Track needs to be connected to the station - ie. to the white line which should be placed at the centre of where the track is to run. Connect the track to each end of this line or the station can not be recognised.

Not trying to jump on Ray Whiley's comment but....You will need to break the track and separate it to be either side of the white connection points. AJS station is not in the track category but will show up in the track category
when you make the connections which will snap to the station connection points. Be aware that you will need to hold down the Alt key to prevent the track snapping to another adjacent point, but you may already be aware of that.
I was once a newbie too.

Wrong key mentioned above Should be the SHIFT key

Thanks for all the advice. I was not connecting the track properly as it reads in the description something like 'connect tracks and slide under station' which I took to mean slide track under the invisible station. Anyway thanks to all your help I have now done it the correct way and it works fine. Cheers

Thanks for clarifying my advice. I normally lay the track from each side towards the AJS invisible station, but this is correct if track has already been laid.

Many moons ago I downloaded a tutorial in using his invisible stations from Andy's web site - no doubt it is still available.

Just checked - it's still there and well worth a visit - http://www.ajsmith.x10.mx/trs/
