Newbie at the forums

Welcome aboard, @AhmadStanier87 !

If you go to the top level by clicking on the Forums "tab" located in the upper left corner, you will see that the forums are laid out logically. There will be those that you are not interested in. You will see other forum categories such as one to discuss Surveyor and Driver or another related to prototype operations. When you select a forum, just as you did this one here, you will see the posts.

You can replace to current forum topics or start one just as you did here.

On each post, you can click like and add a reaction to the post such as an up facing thumb to like the forum as I did your post.

Once you get the hang of the forums, you'll find they are relatively simple to use and there is no specific waiting period before you can post on the other forums. Sometimes, the server will fail to add permissions and if you cannot get into a forum, except for those marked private, then you can contact the helpdesk for assistance via the Support link above.

The moderators like us to keep the forums neat and it's best to keep the topics within the proper forums otherwise your post will be moved.

Hi again, apologies for disturbing. I would like to know, is there any way for Trainz users to start a DM?

By DM do you mean Direct Message to an individual that will not appear in the forum posts?

If so, then at the top right of your screen, next to your name is a letter symbol, an envelope. Click this to open the Private Conversations which will list all your new incoming conversions (if any). Click the link at the bottom of that window, Start a New Conversation, to compose and send a DM to another users (but you must know their username).

Yes, that's the one. Thanks for the explanation.
