Trainz Magazine is hosting a Promotional video contest. The winner's video will be the promo for the homepage of the new website that Trainz Magazine will have soon. The video will be used as the official promo for Trainz Magazine, which means your video will be seen by over 500+.

Prizes
First place will get their video used by Trainz Magazine and will get a chance to show a project they are working on in an issue of Trainz Magazine.

Second place will get a chance to write a small note of a project or note in the Notes and News section of TM.

Judging
Judging will take place here on the Trainz Forums, by other Trainz members on a separate thread.

Rules
  • You have two weeks to create your video before judging.
  • Your video must be created as a promo for TM.
  • The video must use the official TM logo and have the website address (You can download the logo here)
  • The video must have at least 2 or more details about TM (Slogan for TM counts)
  • And most importantly, your video must have Trainz video. (any audio can be used)
Video & Submitting
For some of you who don't have an editing program that will allow you to put images in it, I recommend Video Spin by Pinnacle. Submitting your video via Youtube will be fine.

Your video needs to show your favort things of Trainz. Such as showing a route to being built or show different scenes of trains go by. Its up to you.

I put that there to "bump" the thread, because last time I bumped a thread I received an infraction.

I would say no more then 3 minutes. Keep in mind that is is a promo for TM. I would stay with 1 minute, but that is up to you.

I'm definately interested in this, but I do have a question: Could we make a music video? Cause I've just made one recently, but it's over 3 minutes.

And how would we post em? On Youtube? or have a link somewhere else?

Yes it can be a music video, just check to see that your video will be a good promo. Just upload your video to youtube or someplace . I will give the winner more info when the times come.

Alright. I doubt the one I have now can be a good promo because it has nothing but steam engines in it. Ill see If I can make a variety of trains in another one.
 
oh yes and one more question. Do I have to worry about the copyrights on the music?

Yes you do. Now if it is Smart Sound or something such as that you don't, but for music that came right off a CD or a website. You might want to look in to that.
 
Ok. I needed to make sure since there is the chance (I'm not betting on winning) of it being viewed on a website and didn't want to get you into trouble. So I will check into that stuff.

Just use open source music or music that is in the public domain, then there are no copyright issues.
