New to TS2010 Need HELP PLEASE

Here is where I am with the process so far...

Done: Installed TS2010 EE.

Done: Installed patch "TS2010 SP3" from build 42203 to 43434

Question:
1 - Other updates are available but which one should I DL from the following two:
(a) "TS2010 SP3 hotfix" from 42203 to 43434 -or-
(b) "TS2010 SP3 hotfix" from 43434 to 44088?

Note my prior patch from took me from 42203 to 43434 so I am confussed which one I should go with for the hotfix. Hope I made this clear but basically there are two patch types available and I am not sure which number sequence to DL....

Also, my lower hand corner of the TRAINZ screen states the following:

- TS2010: EE SP3 - 17th September, 2010
- Service Pack 3 for Trainz Simulator 2010 is now available for DL

(I guess this means that I did DL the SP3 patch & that's great news (took 2 days to DL!!!))

Question: Where is this Service Pack 3 update? Do I also need the "HOTFIX" patch? If so, which one; 42203 to 43434 -or- 43434 to 44088??

Kainoa96, I'll help you with what I know so far for the initial patch. If your BUILD is 42203 like mine then first DL TS2010 SP3 42203 to 43434

1st - DL patch to desktop
2nd - Close all applications
3rd - Turn off Anti V program
4th - Disconnect internet from PC
5th - Click on desktop patch and RUN

This should start the DL patch process. It will take a long time but DO NOT STOP the process. Let it do its thing for however long it takes. I had to do it twice over two days worth but I think I finally got it installed. At least when I open TS2010 EE now I can use it but its still very buggie - runs slow but nonetheless it is working. Still need other fixes but Im waiting for someone here to assist with my top post questions before I DL anything else.

JGphins, You already installed the 42203 to 43434 patch. This is your SP3 update i think. Now you have to use the 43434 to 44088 patch. Always look at the current build of your program. NOTE : As you say, before installing a patch, ALWAYS shut down all other apps, the virus scanner and pull the cable out of your modem. Failing to do so will result in an error and Trainz will not work any more, so you will have to reinstall Trainz again. (Did cost me 3 days 2 months ago) Dl the patch 43434 to 44088 and install it, and you should be fine. Once i installed the patch, Trainz ran an extended database repair that took much more time tham usual, nearly 6 hours. Tip: If you downloaded a lot already from the DLS, it might be a good idea to run a backup of the complete "user data" map in the TS 2010 map. That way you can put all of your downloaded stuff back if something goes wrong and you have to do a reinstall.

Assuming you have a proper pc that can run Trainz 2010 without any difficulties, i would have a look at the monitor-resolution settings in Trainz and in Windows. My experience is that Trainz does not like it AT ALL when those settings are different from eachother. Equaling those settings was a big help to me, and Trainz appeared to be much faster.

I will DL hotfix to 44088 tonight & hopefully will be BLE TO ENJOY tomorrow. After having success with initial patch to 43434 I was able to play for the first time a couple of tutorials yesterday and enjoyed it. Hopefully the hotfix patch will better improve some of the remaining graphics issues along with other bugs but at least I can enjoy a bit of Trainx for now.

Can anyone let me know why I could not copple the boxcars on tutorial two... I also had a hard time fulling the boxcar with materials. I would load boxcar one then two and boxcar one would become empty again.

Any advise?
