OK - So now the (UK) East Coast Main Line franchise is coming up for grabs again who would like to propose a new livery?

Personally I would like to see blue express locos and teak coaches....

Re-skinners stand by!

I'd like a recyled livery personally

I approve of the above photo. :)

I read a report on the BBC earlier about it being in government hands again. I don't know what you guys in the UK think, but from what I've read about this, GNER's problems, etc etc etc, I think it's probably time to recombine the whole (Network Rail included) system back into one giant government run entity. Plus the BR look, while boring, was less ugly than some of the paint schemes I've seen from the private companies thus far...lol!

What about all Red with a white box with a Red Rose in it. Then after the election they can all be repainted either blue or yellow with other symbols in the white box.
Gee do i hope not.

So they change the livery from GNER to NXEC, and now they need to remove the NXEC logo's, and then paint them all a new colour?

Surely that can't be cheap?

And does anyone who's bidding for the east coast?

Well I don't mind the idea of red with a white box and rose in it, Strongly oppose the idea of a blue or yellow livery with white box and logo in it. God help us if that happens :S

As the ECML runs right through Yorkshire, I don't think it would be a smart idea to emblazon it with a red rose.

I don't care what livery as long as it looks like a proper railway livery rather than something that's just come off the back of a bus. And god help us if barbie makes it onto the ECML!

I'd like to see the old G.N.E.R livery brought back, but placed on these instead to make it look faster...

I love this picture - Eurostar in G.N.E.R livery

Now this is what I call fast, sleak and smart and would cut journey times in half, especially if they were to run at full speed...
