New Aircraft

Looks like Rob has been busy. :)

The Air Tractor aircraft are available, the cropduster you have seen, and this is the firefighting unit with floats.

Important: Initially the engines are stopped, use the B key to start or stop engines. The aircraft when first placed has the wheels down for land operation, invisible track on land or water should be at ground level, zero. Water level is 3 metres lower, -3 metres. In Driver, press the H key and the wheels will retract and the aircraft will lower to the water level.

Nice looking plane you got there, I'm loving the Coast Guard stuff.
Is that a Shamu edition SWA 737 I see in the background?

Thanks for the encouragement guys.

The USCG series will probably stop for now (I really only did the one aircraft to add to the Hercules). The remainder of the USCG fleet are not aircraft from the ever growing Vulcan aircraft hanger. I have asked him to put the Jayhawk on his long list (a variant of the Blackhawk) but I'd say that will come from him, not me. The USCG also runs a Dolphin Helcopter (much like one Gordon was toying with a couple of months back) and an interesting new aircraft called an Ocean Sentry (HC-144).

Alex. The Shamu is one of Christopher's (CJ187) high quality reskins that's been there for 6 months or so. <kuid:404575:100086>
He released a sister 737 that is also a Southwest Airlines jet at the same time. <kuid:404575:100087>

I've been working with Vulcan recently on a firefighting (Aero Union) variant of the Lockheed Orion that drops water like the recent Air Tractor & flying boats. Stay tuned for that one. I'm working on finalising the reskin before I release it hopefully next week.

Speaking of the Air Tractors. I was wondering when they would be available on DLS. I look forward to some test pilot work this weekend.
I know there have been big issues with DLS in recent weeks/months &, to back up Ian, have lodged an issue with Auran without a result. All I managed to get out of them was them asking me questions about what I'm doing wrong & I know that's not it.

Hello,

Well done Ian, this Air Tractor is a very nice little plane. It is now available at the DLS.

Rob, your coast guards Challenger is also very good looking. Just available also.

On my side, I am stuggling with the new livery of British Airways for some of their A319.
It's special for the 2012 Olympics of London, and called "the dove".

Not the best deco, but very tricky...

Will be available after one week, may be.

Yeah, right Rob. :o

I have been away doing other things for a while, I was talked into doing a diesel loco, the GG20B Green Goat. This is a newer Hybrid loco, so something different. I added a few functions from the aircraft, like startup and the engineer getting in the cab. I had not attempted any locomotives before, interiors take a long time, and there are many other can do a better job than I.

Operating cab, wipers, fan, digital speedo, Engineer and assistant in the cab etc, four models including a cabless slug unit.

If you are interested, the relevant info is in this post:

But I digress, back to aircraft, the next one is the Pilatus PC12, had a few requests for this one. This is the Royal Flying Doctor Service aircraft:

pilatuspc12a.jpg

It has the usual startup functions, a somewhat better interior than earlier models, this is the night vision from the cockpit, yes it is on autopilot:

Guess I had better look at Rob's Orion before he wants to use it on a fire, some touch up work to do. Don't think that green grass needs any more water Rob.

Ian,

Great work mate. Looking forward this one.
Living in the outback of Western Australia and supporter of the RFDS, I regularly see the RFDS PC12 on the ground at the local airstrip.
Definitely make room on any route that I am doing for this aircraft.

Regards,
Warren.

P-3A Orion - Aero Union

More of the Aero Union Fleet are on their way. Currently being approved by DLS are Orion aircraft nos 22 & 23. If anyone has specific requirements for one of the other numbers shout out & I'll see what I can do. Photos of the live aircraft would help (or links to...).

Once again, much thanks goes to Vulcan for his model work on these aircraft. We'd be little lost sheep without you.

So I was wandering about the virtual hangers this week & stumbled across this beast.

Evergreen947Hanger.jpg

Is this the Supertanker you mentioned in one of your previous posts Gordon?

It's a fairly early reskin & needs much refinement. I also need to convince Vulcan to add a water drop action to the model at some point.

Yeah thats the one Rob, carries the biggest payload for fire fighting, check out Evergreens site huge stats on this beast.

Hello,

Korean Air is now operating some Airbus A380, which can be seen on the tarmac of many major airports.

This A380-861 is now under process at the DLS.
