I have been working on Air Afrique airline aircraft, trying to picture nearly all type which were used during this airline life time.
With the large quantity of aircraft models made by Ian, I could cover quite all aircraft types, starting with the Douglas DC3, ending with the Airbus A330.

Hello,
Today, two reskins of the Douglas DC-6B for Ansett-Ana, Australia.
Registration numbers VH-INS and VH-INA.

Interesting story about VH-INA: the 14th of April 1964 just after take-off from Melbourne en route to Adelaïde, the propeller n°3 broke, due to blade metal fatigue. Due to the huge vibrations, the engine broke from its support and fell down to the sea. The crew could drive the airplane back to Melbourne airport and land safely. Passengers and crew did not suffer from this incident. The aircraft was later repaired and could fly again.
