@All -- I'm creating a nice spot on Province: Airport B that will have FedEx planes, stuff, etc ... that I have found at the DLS! I've even created a couple of new warehouses, and updated what I had at the DLS -- However, came across this picture in doing some research! If anyone find the time, no rush of course, please reskin the Dash 8-100, screenshot below! It'll be a find addition to the FedEx fleet --- Thanks in advance!

Just in case, I did search the entire for all FedEx planes, and only a few came up, no Dash!

BTW -- Now that I've mentioned it, yes, there's two airports: Province A (International) and Province B (National)(screenshot at a later time) ... National because it's smaller in scale with 1 runway, and it uses Ian's runways and taxiways, respectively! --- Both airports are %85 done! --

The aircraft you mention is in fact and ATR-42 (or maybe ATR-72). I'll have to pass it on to Pascal for now. I am still trying to finish off the TANE upgrades. Coincidentally I'm TANEing Dash 8s at the moment.

Well, uploaded 39 new items -- a couple that I missed to upload with the runways and terminals, etc ... the rest are what I call cosmetic items ... like signs, tarmac signs, strips, etc ... Also, I included a texture that will blend nicely with Ian's content -- see screenshots!

Lastly, Province B: Airport -- National version -- Consider screenshots as Beta -- More need to be done to the layout, obviously! LOL

Well, enjoy the screenies, and I will post a note when the new items land at the DLS!

PS. Hey Cas, ... the Rocket was made for a later version of trainz (09) -- I don't have the source file for it fix that, tho! Province NASA will br constructed in the future that will display Vulcan Shuttle Transfer jumbo plane as well as Arraial, Alien3, Vulcan, and few items I have on file -- But that's way down the road at a later time, like I said! LOL

Lots of assets there Ish. I had a look at some of them yesterday & can already see some uses for them with my somewhat stalled Vancouver project. I see that you like some of my Boeing 777 assets. The AA took a lot of time to get right but it's been downloaded a lot. The FedEX has also been popular.

I've been busy doing a reskin with my 3 year old of a Canadair CL-415 water bomber. I haven't been able to get the water spray effects to work yet but the young feller is pretty good with the sound effects...... :hehe:

More seriously.... I've uploaded a couple of revisions to the Dash 8-100 Hawkair assets. I had overlooked a texture mapping issue with the cones on the front of the props. Ian tweaked the model a bit to fix the problem. I've now uploaded 2 of the Jazz Dash 8-100 updates. Just the red one still outstanding before doing the Horizon/Alaskan pair.

The Boeing 707 became Startup, with many improvements. I am now updating my own models.
Starting with 2 Air France 707-320, old livery up to circa 1980, and the new one, from 1979 to withdrawal of the aircraft in 82.

A newcommer, the Douglas DC6, with 3 liveries today:

Vancouver, uh, Rob? Did some research, and I think I can make a few buildings that matches its' International Airport, like this!
http://www.soprema.ca/upload/Attach/980_167/961EN.jpg --- I like to make pieces, instead of just one huge item, so the picture that you see now, the building will be in pieces! --I can't find a better picture yet, but it seems that the walls are blue, and with tall glass!

Also, that's find, sir, if you're not using my pieces if they don't fit your airport, because that's what so great about the world of trainz -- we can have a billion airports, and each should look differently! :hehe: -- Ex My Airport A and B looks differently from a terminal point of view!

I've download all of your stuff Rob, including Pascal and Nzld! Since Airport B is a national airport it will use lots of your planes, where as Airport A is International which will use lots of Pascal European planes -- Nzid, you're in there too, sir!

Pascal, at a later time, I will constructed a "Regional Airport" which will handle your Douglas airplanes! Regional airport handles small planes!

Go for it Ish.
Unfortunately, the Vancouver terminal is a complex set of buildings with many expansions. There is even a Fairmount hotel right in the middle of it.
Note that Ian has already built a really nice control tower for me (see this thread, page 233) so no need to do that one.

Below is where I'm at with the terminal. It's very much a compromise at the moment. Maybe your extra assets will help.

Does anyone have any ideas about what settings to change to stop the white mesh coming through the taxiway tracks, junctions & asphalt aprons? See the bottom half of screen shot. The disappear when you zoom closer but as you pull back wider, the stripes start to appear again.

I've never encounter that issue, but I have seen it in the pass with other folks having the same issue! -- Is it the item or a texture you use to paint the board?

Could be a texture issue!

Good Afternoon Flyers!

Well, Province B is at 95% done --Did a test run, UPS Cargo from gate to take off, and it went smoothly! The next 5% will be implementing the CPC rule, etc so it can all be automatically! --- Airport contents also has increase now that I added the Blue structures model somewhat after the Vancouver airport, plus working on a generic terminal that can fit anyone's needs -- it will use a gray-ish cement texture so it blends in with any type / kind of airport around the world! Province A at 90% since it's a larger layout!

During the week going to post up screenies of both airports and mew contents! -- In a few weeks a video clip to demo the landing and taking off of planes!

SAAB 340A - Pacific Coastal Airlines

It's been a bit slow lately on this thread.

You've been busy. Your hard work will, no doubt, be much appreciated by the community. Keep up the good work. I haven't had a chance to use any of the new stuff on my own route but I already know where some if them will be used.

I finished and uploaded to DLS the Dash 8-100 series in the new model format with passenger door, wing flaps, startup flashers and upgraded avionics. Next will be the Dash 8-300s. These are much harder because the texture file needs a fair amount of work to re-align it to the new model. I lost incentive to do these for now and was distracted by a nice shiny new model from Vulcan.

This is the SAAB 340A. Pacific Coastal Airlines in B.C. run an assorted fleet that service most of the province. The SAAB is the largest aircraft in the fleet.
Here we see the SAAB parked at Vancouver South next to the Hawkair Dash 8s.

Every aircraft in the Pacific fleet has a different scene on the tail.

The original model by Vulcan is of the Australian carrier, REX (Regional Express). The REX has black prop hubs instead of the chrome ones on this re-skin, so the prop models are slightly different. Re-skinners should be aware of this before starting a new skin. itsmrb may be interested in this one as Air New Zealand operate them. Pascal has already indicated there are many European variants to work with.

Boeing 767-223(SF) Cargojet Airways

Keep at it Ish. Well done.

There will be some upgrades very soon to the UPS cargo aircraft so look out for those.

I've focused my efforts on closing out the TANE friendly updates. I'm working through the B767 fleet now. The new B767-200 series model hadn't been tested with a reskin so I thought I should give it a go on a new reskin. Ian had to make a couple of modifications to his DHL to cater for my needs and will upload a new version soon if he hasn't already.

So. One of my Vancouver frequent fliers is the Canada based cargo carrier, Cargojet Airways. This one is the B767-223(SF). They also have B727 & B737 aircraft. They're on the list...

Available soon on DLS.

Good Afternoon Everyone --

New airportx items have landed at the DLS: There's now 207 items, and yet there's more, a lot more to come as time permits, of course! For a full list just click on banner, I listed the new items on my blog -- Reskinned Arraial fire trucks, which is now more generic -- In other words, it can be use at airport in any country! I added 2 new versions, one with red lights only, and second version without the lights blinking, which you can now use to park it inside a fire house or a corner in your airport layout!

There's a lot more to come, but I am dividing my time between these items, or other items for my Province Ideas -- I am looking for making a small regional airport, etc ....

@Rob -- Thanks for the kind word's looking forward to the UPS, Cargo planes -- I feel Cargo planes are lacking, etc ... I am yet to use the DHL, so mostly likily that will be implemented in the third and final airport province I have planned!

TANE sits on my shelf next to my monitor -- Although I downloaded and installed the beta version it was useless on this computer -- On the new computer, which is not yet running, I will install TANE there when SP1 is finally release this Christmas -- I just don't want to deal with the headaches of it now, so if any items that I have made (airports), has issues please PM met!

Normally, on a Saturday I am out with the family, but mother-in-law is visiting, so they all went out, including my little girls to the Mall, the Children museum and Botanic Garden, and to a birthday party for my little girl's classmate (1th grade) later today, so all alone in the apartment here creating stuff -- LOL

@Gordon -- Thank you, sir, and glad you're enjoying the items -- It's why, Ian, and many us do this freely, so you guys can have fun! -- Wait til you see the blue terminal versions, there's many of them, etc including new gates! -- Just another version!

@Pascal -- Sir, your first screenshot, on the pavement, the walkway? ... Is it one single item, spline ... ? I am curious! ... Depending on your response, I might expand on that idea by creating more of the same, etc etc ...

Lastly, working on Parking lots -- In my airport layout I could find anything that fit my needs, etc ... everything I did took too long, and it didn't look right, so I created parking lot line only in different sizes .... these will snap-to-board so easy to place lots of them very quickly, as well as my I-car side-by-side, which will make it fast to fill a vast parking lot! -- I'll post screen shots during the week, since I am still working these things out!
