Hi Folks,

I've decided to put my re-skin projects down for a little while so I can make a greater impact by upgrading my existing assets with the TANE friendly scripts. It could take a while but I'm going to push through as quickly as possible. I completed the 40 odd A319s in my hanger (all bar one are Frontier aircraft). They are approved and are available for download. I'll post progress reports as I go.

Hi,

In Paul_r's map, some kuids are missing.
Paul should explain for the kuid 501622 serie when he'll be back.
kuid 74222:21052:1 and 21053:1 are from my side (aircraft jetways) and were not at the DLS so far. This is now corrected and they should be available soon.


Vulcan just updated his Boeing 767 models to Startup standards. Here is my Japan Airlines reskin, updated accordingly. I took this opportunity to re-visit my texture to get a better model.

michael_leahy - don't really understand what you are saying - the route and session are built in TS12 and will not work in T:ANE - well not yet anyway.

Pascal - have you downloaded into TS12? and does it run at all? what you have highlighted is that although I have got them on my computer, the 501622 kuids are not on the DLS and therefore no-one else has got them. I don't know how I'm going to get them on the DLS at moment because they are not my kuid number.

They are Heathrow buildings taken off sketchup a long time ago when robert38a and I started this route in TS10. Sadly Robert is no longer with us but when he became ill, I bought TS12 and we transferred the stuff over to my computer.

Can I ask exactly what messages you are getting ? (or anyone else who has downloaded into TS12?

Paul,

I installed the route on my TS12, and it is running quite well. The message I have is related to missing dependancies, a serie of 12 assets with author's kuid 501622.
I am very sorry for Robert38a, with whom we started to issue specific aircrafts fot this Heathrow project.
Regarding his assets, I think you could carry them under your own kuid, mentionning in the config, with his name, the fact that he brought them from Sketchup to Trainz.

You will have to issue them under build 3.5, and also re upload the map.

after my last post I tried to edit the config of one of the assets with my kuid but it wouldn't accept. I cloned the asset and seem to have uploaded the clone successfully although I couldn't change the 2.9 to 3.5

I am waiting to see if the uploaded clone goes through the system OK

Paul,

DLS will not accept an asset with build 2.9.

In TS12 content manager, right click on the cloned asset, select open, then open in explorer.
Open the config.txt
Change the build 2.9 to 3.5 - save, close the file.
Now commit. Your asset is OK for upload.
Send me a PM if necessary.

Is there a readme or instruction somewhere on how to use airports. I am able to drive to the terminal but I am not sure how to use the pushback tractors to get the aircraft ready to taxy for take off.

Extend the track from the gates with invisible track over the routes the pushback tractors will take between gates to couple up with the aircraft nose, push back, uncouple and drive off leaving the aircraft ready to taxi out.

In London Heathrow at the moment, the aircraft just drive to a push back trackmark but when I have got it working properly in T:ANE that will be my next project.

Download Station Uploading is Stalled.

Hi Folks,

Just to let you know that we have been having some trouble uploading assets to DLS of late. Some of the TANE friendly upgrades were uploaded a week ago now & they haven't gone past the "Unprocessed" gate. This means they haven't even been extracted yet. Pascal has reported a similar issue.

So we haven't abandoned you and are still working on updates and new aircraft but we're just having trouble releasing them.

I am also waiting for assets to be uploaded for my Heathrow map and sessions to replace missing kuids. I am going to hold off uploading my revised map for a while until I see what goodies are in the pipeline!

For those who have downloaded London Heathrow, this is what the T5 area SHOULD look like - and will shortly - along with other missing assets such as the new control tower and central area car parks etc. There will also be a full arrivals and departures schedule and ground movements between gates/maintenance/freight etc.

Another beast from the Gulf, this A380 flown by Emirates Airlines. To Startup standards and ready for TANE.

Will be uploaded when the DLS will work again. I have 13 aircrafts waiting to be processed since 10 days now.

My airport is going to be congested, just like the DLS, Imagine the 2 jumbos disembarking their passengers at the same time!!

Yes the Emirates A.380 is a good update for Heathrow. When I upload my revised route, would you check it over for me? - when I loaded the original, I totally overlooked that it was using my content and that some of that content was not in fact available on the DLS.

Great work as usual Pascal!

I had an asset approved today! YEAH!!!!
It was an A320 I uploaded back on the 20th of June.
So the good news is that the uploads are moving,........ but, ....... DLS..... is....... s.......l.....o.....w.....wwwwwww.....

The word is that someone's uploaded a truckload of assets back on the 19th & it's choked the system.

T:ANE Updates

Good news folks,

It looks like the DLS uploads are moving along finally so I thought I'd let you know where I'm up to with T:ANE friendly updates.

My Airbus fleet is now complete. I've managed to tweak a few of them along the way so that they behave the same as the current aircraft with automatic flap operation, startup flashers & trigger settings. The A330 & A340 were both lagging a bit in that respect. Now I don't have P:ANE, so if anyone who does finds that pesky red bug on their screens with these upgraded aircraft, let me know & I'll find a way to fix it.

Some of the A320 fixes have involved complete start from scratch re-skins. The Air Canada fleet has been completely overhauled. They were some of my early works & I decided they were a bit embarrassing and were needed for my Vancouver project so I started them again.

Also approved and available soon are my mighty Globemasters. I was playing with them the other day testing them before I uploaded them and forgot how awesome this particular model is. Vulcan pulled out all stops for the C-17 for sure.

The last ones approved today are the old Boeing 737-200 series United & Southwest aircraft. That should make some of the nostalgia folks happy.

Still unprocessed are the startup B737s (11 off). I only done the startup ones. The older models need lots of work to bring them up to the new model and involves a new re-skin or a fair bit of work a least. I'll leave them until I've cleared the bulk of the easy ones. I've stepped over the 767s for the same reason.

Also not yet processed are 3 747s. I'm working through upgrading the popular Evergreen Supertankers which needed a bit of a tweak from Vulcan. Hopefully I'll upload them tomorrow.

Next on the list... Boeing 777s.

Well, it seems the cork finally jumped from the DLS bottle!!

You made a great job, Rob, with all these updates.
I have also now my updated A380s approved, only 7 aircrafts, including the last Emirates.

Also, if one user wants a particular aircraft(s) to be updated now for TANE, please ask.

WOW, just gazed at those screenies -- beautifully done, sir!

BTW -- I have made 50+ new airport items, but they are not ready yet guys, until I complete a whole package! Of course, when these items land on the DLS I will make a note on this thread! --- Everything in the picture I made, except for the spline tarmac which was made by Zatovisualworks, and the grass! -- Since I live on Marsz, the journey does begin on Earth ... From a NASA point of view! :hehe:
