New Aircraft

Embraer 145-LR - American Eagle (1998)

Joining the ATR72 at American Eagle is an ERJ-145LR.

American Eagle only fly the LR version of this aircraft. This colour scheme lasted from 1998 until the latest grey scheme appeared this year (2013). The 1998 re-skin was easier than the new scheme because the tail colours don't run over onto the rear of the fuselage (for those learning about re-skins). I have the 2013 in progress but it will take a little longer yet.

p.s. Again, you guys asking for these skins should post some screen shots of these aircraft on this thread. Maybe show one on final approach flying low over one of your trains or something. It's good for motivation for we who bring you these aircraft.

NB: agree with Rob: if you can publish here some pics of these aircrafts, flying over your routes, it will be much appreciated.

Pitts S1 - skywriting

.

I've always admired the skills of

those guys who can spell out long

messages, high in the sky.

Classic Pitts bi-plane at altitude.

This one is piloted by a novice, who is

tracing out his first message over the rural

skies of south Dorset.

Inspired by comedian who used KickStarter to raise cash for this stunt.:D

Thanks Gordon and Hotgrove for those nice views over your maps.

This is another customer for the Boeing 787-8: Hainan Airlines, from China.

That's more like it Hotgrove! More screen shots like that please folks.

Pascal, Nice work as always.

Gordon, Your CC Int'l is coming along nicely. Keep up the good work.

On some aircraft news. It appears Boeing are bringing out a new variant of the Triple Seven designated 777X. The X has new massive engines, new composite wings like the Dreamliner and 20% better fuel efficiency. The end result is cheaper running costs and much longer range. The longer range will let airlines cut out stopovers in many cases.

I made some update of my early reskin of Taca Airlines A320, and tranferred it to the new Startup system.
In the meantime, I made other liveries of Taca for an older B767 and a recent A321.

Yes Welcome Carr. Sorry but can't see the New Aircraft PT2 flying (pardon the pun) but you can but ask.

A newly painted American Eagle Embraer Regional Jet taxis off the runway past a shiny American Airlines/One World B777.

The American Airlines aircraft seem to be a struggle every time I try to do one & this little jet was no exception. I had to put it down a couple of times and even scrapped it & started from scratch once. I hope you like it.

Very impressed with the viscount can't wait for it in DLS. Although I cannot build anything, as I do not have the skills and I am very impressed with the work being displayed in this thread. However Aircraft do have to go from and to somewhere, therefore I find myself only using short haul aircraft in flight as it's the nature of my layouts, not to say an International Airport should not be included. To Include large International aircraft such as the 747 which are capable of flight you would have to make a massive layout to include another country. I am sure you would like to comment.

Hi Carr,

You may utilize the portals, to send/receive your planes, without needing of a second large airport. OK, they look like tunnels but can be very usefull.
