New Aircraft

A new reskin, soon at the DLS:

A Boeing 747-400 of Cathay Pacific, livery in force before transfer of Hong Kong Territory to Mainland China. The aircraft is still wearing the Union Jack on the tail, and the VR registration number.

Hi to all that have participated in this thread and helped create the airplanes and their associated assets. I think this is one of the longest active threads on the form. I think the work that Ian has done in all the assets he has created are some of the best around and I have been following his work since 2006 when I started in Trainz.

Boeing 747 Startup versions

Hi folks,

I see Pascal has been busy of late with B747s & A319s. I can't keep up with his work rate I'm afraid, but I'm not retired so I have an excuse (I guess). :hehe:
I upgraded three of my own 747 aircraft a few weeks ago & forgot to mention it. Judging by the downloads, many of you have already updated your assets.

The Evergreen Supertankers require some Vulcan Magic before I can release them but in the mean time I have been working on a newer Boeing, the 787, operated by United. More on that very soon. No Vulcan style All Black 787 as yet. Gordon seems to have it covered for now.

Boeing 787 - United

And you continue to show me up Pascal. :hehe:

This is my first Dreamliner re-skin. There aren't many in the Americas as yet. Most have been delivered to Asia so far. United, Aeromexico and LAN are the only ones I'm aware of and photos are a little scarce for now to get a good layout onto this particular Vulcan model. Jetstar (a Qantas low cost subsidiary) have them and, judging by Gordon's post, so to Air New Zealand.

United Airlines is my first attempt and it has come out fairly well without too much pain. I convinced Vulcan to add some of the background smarts to this aircraft to bring it into line with the B777 and others. No doubt this will keep Pascal busy for a while. The two Vulcan originals have been updated and uploaded already.

I decided to include some late spring snow in low light for these shots to change it up a little.

If I am right, the B787 ordered by Air New Zealand is a type 9, longer than Vulcan's type 8, and not yet delivered. First commercial operations should be delayed to next October.

Hello,

Today, one new model, a Douglas C47 flown by the French Navy, training squadron 56S.
It is based on the updated model of Vulcan, who corrected and added some details.

Just occasionally I wish this forum had the above 'like' button, purely so I could use it for some of these recent posts.
Rob and Pascal - no matter what aircraft type you touch they always come out looking amazing. And Gordon your work is impeccable as always.

I think it's time for me to build a larger terminal - somehow A319's and B747/787's just look out of place on an apron built for a Dash-8 :hehe:

Bombardier Challenger upgrades

349ss.jpg
Cheers itsmrb,

I have some upgrades uploaded for the Bombardier Challenger 600 series. I had previously generated 4 re-skins that are now all upgraded with more current Vulcan technologies. Vulcan updated the model so I could complete a new skin but I haven't quite finished it yet. The updates include startup flashers, rotating jet turbofans, a re-assignment of keys & some triggers that have been added to bring the C605 in line with the other newer jets. He's also done some work with the sound transitions that are a little difficult to explain.
Many Thanks Vulcan.

Bombardier Challenger 605 - London Air Services

Here's the follow on from the Challenger updates.

On final approach to runway 26 at YVR, a London Air Services C605 flies just West of the Vancouver South Terminal & the London Aviation Centre Hanger. You'll also see the Flying Beaver Bar & Grill with a growing array of sea planes lined up.

C605LAS03_zps534c7182.jpg

On the ground the little business jet sits with the two other C605s in the LAS fleet. London Air Services has an air limousine fleet catering for the high end business market based next to the Vancouver South terminal.

LASLAC04_zps7c2c6eeb.jpg

With all three aircraft parked, the hanger still has room for more. LAS also has five Learjet 75 aircraft & an AW139 helicopter.

LASLACHanger_zps8b206b6b.jpg

I've done a re-skin for each of the three LAS jets because it was pretty easy to change the numbers on the side of the jets once I'd done one. I've also done a hanger re-skin (with permission from Bill) of the London Aviation Centre.

Thanks go to Ian & Bill for their hard work.

These are now available on DLS.
