Need some good tank cars

I had pretty much success with reskining CELX and PRR 3 axle tankers and their trucks...they looked really rugged and dangerous. I'll post screenshots someday.

I know this is an old post but if anyone is still looking for some 30,000 gallon tankers, I'm currently working on a 6 pack of them. UTLX, NATX, PROX, MBLX, and a few others. Haven't made up my mind yet and could use some suggestions I guess.

I sure am! GATX and UTLX, especially. Perhaps a Cargill sweetener or a tanker stencilled for stabilized vinyl chloride.

Have you guys taken a gander over to www.jointedrail.com they have quite the collection of modern US tank cars for free over there.

Why? JointedRail and USLW have been solid places to get content from for a long time. Their content is very popular and easily obtained. Once downloaded, I never delete it so it's always available. Quality content like theirs is always installed in my local folder and gets transferred over several computers and several editions of this program.*
I see no reason for it to go to the DLS unless you're the type who deletes content when you're bored with it. When I used to download other's routes, I spent time replacing content they used with content I liked. Cut down 50 GB of content to under one DVD I use as back up. JointedRail's stuff is great. I have all their freeware and some payware installed whether I'm using it or not. Any session gets it's rolling stock used changed before I even run it.

Dave.......

What do you care? If these posts bug you so much, don't click on them. (Your words.)

Also, I'd take DLS content over non-DLS in a second; it's kind of tiring using content from here-today, gone-tomorrow fly-by-night websites.

And, so? If you don't want good content on the DLS, what's your problem? Nobody cares. When you own the place...well, nobody will care even then.

P.S. Even Railwaves closed after 9 years. The DLS is still around.

Again, keep your arguments to the other thread you're throwing a hissy fit in where a user asked a simple question.

You're the one throwing a hissy fit because a very capable reskinner simply asked for some suggestions as to what people want.

I didn't mean to start any scraps lol. I'm gonna skin them because I can. If you don't want them, don't download them. I know JR and uslw builds quality content but there is nothing wrong with someone skinning something because they want too. Why do you have to be so negative?

I'll give it a shot. I made a promise to a friend for a blue UTLX that he wants. I plan on adding atleast 15-20 loads of these cars. I will give the food product tankers a shot and exclude exclude chemical loads on them. I was only gonna do 6 cars but maybe I'll do 8. I will likely upload them to tpr (as long as I can get perrmission from the creators). Not sure how long until the first pack will be released, but it shouldn't be to far away. I'll post a reply on this thread and one on Freeware Realeases.

:cool:Thanks for the clarification, now let's get on with it...two "new" Tanker Molten Sulfur cars...

They are uploaded awaiting approval or whatever.
