Need so help

Is there a way to change a Trains Vehicle asset to a Track Object asset or a Signal asset? I have put motor cars on set offs and cranes on tracks being built & also work trains on the same tracks as the cranes. So when I go to set Drivers Setup I have only 1 train to set up but it shows 6 trains for now. That is quit clutter, and it's going to get worse. Or is there a way to add something in the config file to make that asset show up but not as a train vehicle? I don't know about layers buy is there a way to do it in a different layer? I know there's a way to make them into scenery objects so I don't see why you couldn't do what you want to do. You'll have to do some height adjusting and make the bogies a separate object. There are some already - a gondola and a boxcar, I think. Try it and see if works. I'm curious about that too.

I open the config file for the scenery objects box & gondola cars and compare them to the trains vehicle configs, boy what a difference. It would be nice if there was a program or software that you could drop them into and convert them to track objects or signal assets. I am not afraid to mess with the config files, I just don't know to much about the language in a config file. Oh well I am going to play with them anyway.
