need help with camera problem

hi all

even though i place my cameras carefully in 2006
quite often they have moved or disapeared when i go into driver

is there an anchor or something that i am missing?

I had a similar problem in TRS2004. I guess 06 is pretty much the same system.

The method of placing the camera, I thought, wasn't very logical. My cameras, fixed or tracking, often didn't stay where I thought I had put them.

Pressing LMB is the handbook way of doing it, and it does work (and so does Esc). But the green left hand 'Place Camera' button when setting your shot, will automatically shift to the middle 'Move Camera' button. It's therefore easy to move on to a new viewpoint, think you've placed a new camera, when you haven't!

Now I move back from each placed camera to check it is there, and where I want it. If I can see it in Surveyor, I have not had any problem in Driver.

i do that too, but quite often the camera is not where i placed it

sometimes i find a few of them together where there should only be one
or i find them near the edge of a different board

do you copy and paste objects in large quantities? such as with forests? Make sure you don't have any cameras when you copy past objects. Also check out this site for camera use.

i never copy and paste anything

it is all done one at a time to look the way it should.
rather than copy and paste and try to rearrange
