Need help with Cabon City setup

i just got cabon city and downloaded it, but it does not appear anywhere in my trainz! what should I do???

I think you have to run an aplication to install it as a standalone package or in Trainz itself.

I'd install it in Trainz, as it allows you to add extra content via Content Manager.

It's worth mentioning, is that "Favorites" star on the Routes page ticked yellow? If so, untick it.

i tried making the standalone, and it wanted my ts 2009 serial number. i do not have ts2009. but how can i install it into ts12?

Are you sure you want it as a standalone? You will only be able to drive trains, nothing else.

When it says TS2009, try entering your TS12 serial instead, as that is the version you want it in.

Also, n TS12, in the Options option on the Launcher, enter the serial you got with the add-on to the Serial Numbers box. Or that's at least what I think you do.

Enter your TS12 serial where it asks for the TS2009 one.

well, it didnt work so i made a standalone. but nowtheres yet ANOTHER problem (thanks auran) the resolution. how do i change it to 1600 X 900?

Well, the way I installed it (and it works flawlessly) in either TS2010 or TS12, is that, I think after running the installer and entering my serial, I looked in my Trainz folder for the CCC/Cabon City Classic folder. There was either a CDP file or a file called tlcc62m.dll - I forget which. In the case of the DLL file, I renamed the extension to CDP and then simply imported it via ContentManager. It may help to change your Windows settings to "show extensions of known file types" to checked, since, by default, this feature is disabled.

That's what I just mentioned - if you can find the temporary folder into which CCC unpacks, you will have the file you need. It just might have a (bogus) dll extension, rather than CDP. From the File menu in CMP, you can use the Import CDP feature to find it and import it. You might even be able to import the file with the bogus .DLL name, but changing the extension ensures CMP makes and honest attempt at importing.
