Need help setting driver commands & schedules

I'm having difficulty setting driver commands in driver, when I go to set a route schedule all it lists are track marks but no stations to make stops at even though there are stations along the route.I recently tried this in the route that provides the TGV & no luck getting station points to come up in the listing, also when running some of the passenger routes in TRS04 I notice that when I stop at a station to pick up passengers I check the details panel on my passenger cars only to find that they're empty what's up with that?

Are there any good tutes for setting driver commands & route schedules for both TRS04 & TRS 06? I've tried searching a couple of links via trainz resource & have so far come up empty.

Mike Have you gone in surveyor and checked to see if they are able to produce passenger or set the stations to produce passenger ? Click on object tab after it's open click the ? then click on the station. It a blank window open then it's not industry acted.

Thanks I'll try that but my original problem involved trackmarks vs stations in the list of available "drive to" options for that one route.

Ok I tried doing that in surveyor & the only option that comes up is to type in a name for the station...nothing else.Could I be using the incorrect passenger coaches for these stations?

When I select drive to all I get on the list is my industries but no stations.I could really use a good tutorial to show me step by step what to do here.

Ok I tried this again in TSR06 (04 must have a bug in it that won't allow you to set the passenger stations to pick up) & it's still not working.I set up a twin track route with two trains, one on each track & yet when I issue the command to drive to station 2 from station one(using stations that are pre-set for passenger service) I get a message saying cannot find route to destination.

How can this be happening when the track is a straightline shot from point A to point B? I wish I could post screens but the forum rules are for some odd reason set to prohibit me from posting attachments & when using the double track station the trains always derail as soon as they hit the mainline seeing as the stations in TSR06 already include track so that's yet another problem to contend with.

I could just give up & run the trains in manual mode & just pretend to pick up passengers but what good is that? I'm really starting to get frustrated with this game & am thinking of just giving up & going back to No Limits coaster simulator or RCT2......at least those two programs aren't half as complicated & frustrating to use as TSR04 & TSR06 are turning out to be.

You could just upload screens to imageshack and link from within your post. If your lazy, just link us to imageshack, otherwise actually add the photos to the page.

In a previous post you said you were using "drive to"? But your using trackmarks? Are you driving to Station or driving to Trackmarks, as trackmarks don't work that way [passenger loading].

Drive to lists all industry active assets, drive to trackmark lists trackmarks. If you use a two track passenger enabled station you must make sure that the platform you drive to is connected. You may be trying to get the train to run to the wrong platform number (not station) or the train cant run because the other train is blocking its path. Try with a single platform first and remember that the drive to platform needs the load command after it for the train to load. Download kuid:1942:28252 from the DLS as this station will clearly show the platform numbers from 1 to 4. Some stations dont visible show which track is platform 1 or 2. You may also need to check which build you have of each version as you may need to upgrade for things to work. 04 is a very stable version which a lot of old timers still use to create routes and its one of the easiest sims ive found for doing it.

After a lot of trial & error I think I've finally gotten the hang of it,I made a simple circular route consiting of five stations in TSR06 & made sure that they were connected & it finally worked.

I have a new problem however. When trying to remove a consist from the line figuring that it was blocking the destination path I accidently ended up deleting it entirely(from the looks of it) & it's no longer in my consist selection menu arghhh!! I hope that I can get this missing consist back without having to uninstall & then reinstall my game.

You can redo the consist. If you know what the consist was just build it by selecting the single items of rolling stock and place on the track until you have the consist as you want it. Now go into the consist tab and click the grab button on the left and click on the consist you have just built. Give it a name and it will be saved into the consist widow for use later.

I looked in the railyard when playing late last night & found the deleted loco/coahces for that consist phew!!! I thought I'd lost them entirely for a minute there.
