need help saving my route

I got 2009WBE on my desktop & just got a new laptop & installed 2009WBE & I would like to copy the route I've been working on to my laptop

Hi 14u2e,

Open CMP on your desktop and find your route, right click on the route and select 'open for edit'. That will place your route in the edit folder on your desktop. From there copy it via pen drive or cd to your laptop edit folder. Next open cmp on your laptop, go to top menu file and select 'import content'.
That's one way, the other way is to make a .cdp file of the route when in CMP on your desktop and save the .cdp file somwhere so you can access it from your laptop. If you do it that way select import CDPs from the file menu on the laptop.

One great way to protect what you have created is to email the CDP to yourself, then archive it. That will put it in the great server in the sky, and if your computer blows up, you can get a new one, then pick up the file again.

As you have a new install copy the local folder into the new install and then do a repair data base. You will have all the assets aswell.
