Hello all,

While I was running some sessions in TRS10 and when I looked at some AI consists, they had commands for drive to yadayada, yet they icon was just an X and they were not moving anywhere!

All help is greatly appreciated!

You've altered the session by the look of it and deleted the drive /navigate via rule. Add it back.
Or altered an industry name. Re enter in the schedule library if using it.

If it's a red X in a circle, this means that the command needs to be re-added to the schedule. It's usually if a station/industry has been renamed or deleted, or if you are missing dependencies that are stations/industries.

Shane,

You're right about that. I tried to add it back on in Editor, but the only thing that registers as a 'navigate to' is a station platform. The train has to go to a portal, yet even in editor, I tried to delete it (the portal) and it won't even go away where ever I click delete! Thanks for your help already, though! :)

Yes, I know. However, the portal is named yet it still does not show up for navigate to. No portal on the entire map does

And John, I am on Trainz 2010.

If I understand correctly the navigate to portal is showing up as an X in a red circle. If this is the case, the portal has gone South and can't link to the .gs file. It won't show up as faulty because it is a built-in item. You will need to open the portal for edit to see if it's faulty. If not, do and Edit/Revert to close the file. If it does show an error, do an Edit/Commit (ignore the warning and do it anyway). Then do an Edit/Revert to Original. This should clear the error and the Modified flag (so that it won't screw up multi-player). Unless you can determine which portal is causing the problem, you may need to open several, before you find the right one. I'd start with Portal Basic. I've had the issue with several, but that one seems to be the most prone to this problem. I hope I understood your issue correctly and that this takes care of it.

I have seen the X in a red circle in driver commands which I have set up in the Driver Setup rule after I have changed the names of any industries, stations, or portals. If you have changed the portals or their names and you have set up the AI commands in "Driver Setup" you will need to go back into Driver Setup and change the navigate commands there.

I realise this does not explain why the portals do not show up at all in driver but it does explain the Red X.
