Narrow Gauge HD Track

Trainz Luvr since 2004
I'm working on a short NG line that was part of a clay tile manufacturing plant for my High Line route. Can anyone recommend some high quality NG track?

Thanks.

Look at the WS- series tracks. There are some 760mm track in there which I think is pretty close to 42 in. Also I think Zec Murphy made some VR track that is also NG.

There was a 3'6" narrow gauge track pack made by a Russian Trainzer named de Lorian a while ago that is extremely well detailed, but sadly isn't on the DLS - they host it on their own website. Unfortunately I can't remember the URL for it, but a link can be found somewhere here in the Forums from what I recall. I'll try searching and see if I can find it.

Thanks guys. I 'm also looking for a small NG diesel loco that might have been used in the U.S. Any ideas?

760mm is almost exactly 30in (2'6"). I'm pretty sure I've seen some decent 24in track on the DLS, but can't recall any 36in. What gauge are you after?

I'm not really sure. I'm working on a clay manufacturing facility that had a small narrow gauge line to move material. Here's some pics of the actually facility.

Here's the entire facility on a postcard. The narrow gauge is in the background and standard gauge in the foreground.

Having dabbled a bit with ng recently, I think the WS track is about as good as it gets for 760mm. However it still sits proud of the terrain after smoothing (when are N3V going to fix this?) so it would be necessary to go back through when you've finished laying/terraforming and drop all the spline points 0.15 - 0.20 metres to sit on the terrain.

That's something I do regularly on my WIP route. The area I'm modeling the track or mainline sleepers set into the ground with just a little ballast in some areas. There is some great track out there but I wish some creators saw the need to make more with no ballast. I found some quality NG track by pencil42 that has no ballast. It was originally made for bridges so the sleepers are a little long but it's the best I've found so far for my application.

Looks like it could be 2ft. Have a look at the 2ft track on the DLS by Frank_Dean.

PS Also try searching feldbahn.

Take a look at the 'ing4trainz' website, there may be something there that suits you, some of the stuff is on the DLS some is not.
