First off, I offer a HUGE thank you! to all who create new content for Trainz.
I have a suggestion for naming assets and adding keywords. How about some sort of uniform or standardized format?
Instead of stuff like:
3DT Mt Olive Pickle Co
#40'MDTReefer(LARS)
Blatz
BNSF_(LARS),
BN C30-7 5127
BNSF ACF2BAY Hopper
Maybe stuff like these examples:
autorack DTTX 710668
boxcar 40ft refer MDT LARS
boxcar 50ft UP
boxcar hi cube NS 256432
flatcar BN #758011
flatcar centerbeam
flatcar depressed
hopper
hopper grain
hopper 2 bay
hopper 3 bay
tanker
tanker 3 Dome Olive Pickle Co
Loco GP38
Loco SD40-2 BN
Loco steam 0-6-0 UP
Loco steam 4-8-4 NYC
By putting the type of rolling stock in the name first, it will make sorting so much easier / quicker to find in railyard /and surveyor.
As for keywords, those could be kept simple, minimal and uniform, something like:
bnsf
loco
atsf
stockcar
lars
Again, I sincerely thank everyone who creates all the cool stuff!
Switchman Cam, OVER!
