Names of trains

I'm sorry I'm writting it second time, but I can't find thread we were talking about it before forum update. My ask was how railroads name their freight trains. In some sessions is used for example message for "UP 4526", where 4526 is locomotive number. But it's really train name? I made my own consists from YouTube videos, where I can see for example CSX L226-27, BNSF ZSTOWSP824A or CP 110-06. Somebody wrote here that some railroads using first letter for departure station, second for arriving station, third for kind of train (coal etc.). Number is a order number. I would like to continue this thread, if anybody has another opinion or knows about the site where it's explained. I have many videos with trains named as "Norfolk Southern Local Freight Train at Buford, GA", but it not so comfortable for using in session. I think message "NS Local Freight stop in a next siding" is not really like in real :-)

actually there are several ways. The train is usually as you explained, for example, the departure, arrival and order number, I know that is used here in West Virginia often for the coal trains. Trains can be named for the route also. For example Huntington 1234. In game I tend to use the starting point, and end point to keep the train in my head. So I may use EC ( EWA Central) LW (Lincold Woods) train number of the session.
