Hi all, Ok trying to save names on platforms, do all the things i have to do and then save. Go back into surveyor names have gone. I have had a few of you good people out there give me some solutions, but i am still stumped. according to my menu i have been into my route 157times. now i am assuming if you click the >> the top one should be your last addition??? or if you dont click>> the route showing with the most access should be the last one i was working on. This was the case early on into my route build. Maybe we have lost our way somewhere. but i name save in route layer, i get the route to save to. after that it gets confusing it says it save but it aint. or if it is where to. Can i delete some of these sessions, without losing everything. Or is there a glitch somewhere. Maybe its this layer thing but i dont remember doing any layer work. if anybody can throw any light on this much appreciated.

I often get confused by the proliferation of default sessions after route edits, especially if a session I have worked on has also been saved as the default. I now try to give my sessions a name that differs from the default or if I forget I add a description to the session while in surveyor, this then appears in the bottom box on the session menu and my sessions can be identified. I usually delete the default sessions that have been saved after a route edit since they will be of little use to any sessions I have created.
I believe station names that have been added during a route edit should appear in all sessions. I am not sure about those added during a session edit, perhaps they only appear for the session especially if the station was added while editing the session. I know you said you usually add the names during a route edit but could you have inadvertently made the changes in a session edit, I suggest this because this is a mistake I make all too often.

save your names in route layer, and use save,,, not save as just save it as the lat name of the route
