Hey,

I think this sounds interesting, especially if you live in the Tampa Bay MSA. For about 2 decades, the region's residents have complained and griped about arterial roads and congestion. Back then what was the solution? Yes, thats right, expanding our local roads from 2 lanes to about 4 or 6(Not Incl. Turn Lanes and "Split" lanes at Traffic islands) lanes. Since then, the congestion has grown to a huge extent where about 35 to 65 percent don't even bother to go shopping, recreational activities, and our beaches. The Governor of Florida, Charlie Crist(R-FL) signed the legislation that created the Tampa Bay Area RTA, or TBARTA. Since then they have reached out to about half of the area's population of 4.5 Million. Although statistically, the Tampa Bay Region is only Pinellas, Hillsborough, Manatee, and Pasco Counties, the RTA has decided on a seven county system. Creating seamless travel between St. Petersburg(Not Russia), Clearwater, Tampa, New Port Richey, Lakeland, and beyond. The job includes LRT, Heavy Commuter Rail, BRT, Express Commuter Bus(MCI Coaches), Waterborne transit, and other great modes that have yet to be discovered! Here is a link to the TBARTA Advert, or as Floridians call it(To be different from other states ;)), a PSA(Public Service Announcement)......

That's real good news for your area Isaac.:) Less spending on gas, less traffic, and too slow. Its not that bad up here in North Carolina with Norfolk Southern and Amtrak in my area.
