Fellow Trainzer
Greetings to my fellow Trainzers.

Well here it is, I started on my first prototypical map of the BNSF line that runs along the Columbia River through Wenatchee to up past Trinidad Hill Going East. To start this map I'm using the DEM terrain map of "Wenatchee Rocks" by Fishlipsatwork. I'll be updating this thread from time to time as I make progress on building this route. My plan is hopefully to share this map with my fellow Trainzers to use. I will be taking my time on this to make it as close to realistic as possible with what assets that are available from the all the content creators that make this sim so awsome! I'm building this route in TS12 so I don't know if it can be run on earlier versions of Trainz or not. I will also be doing some "Reskinning" of assets to build some of the projects in this map. So here's the first four Screenshots for you to ponder on. Let me Know what you all think.

From your fellow Trainzer, -Robert-

This is graeat, quick question, what's the name of that bridge in the first screenie, also is it available on the download station, looks cool.

Thanks guys, there's 8hrs into the fish ladder it self. I had to experiment on what assets to make it realistic looking and also to see if it was possible to even build it. It still isn't done yet, but it's getting there.
To answer hayrey's question, the bridge is made up from three different assets. Part 1 is "Bridge Top 16H-1 kuid2:82412:71040:2" (Download from DLS), part 2 is "USO Bellaire Birdge (Truss) kuid 452752:1111"(Download from DLS) part 3 is "Bridge Howe Deck Truss Steel" kuid 64038:38085 (Download from CMP). The Bridge piers are "2gl-Strompfeiler-Granit" kuid2:72730:27633:3 (Download from DLS), steel supports are "Bridge-Supp-Girder-02" kuid:82412:71032 (Download from DLS), and " Bridge-Supp-Girder-05" kuid:82412:71037, last but not least "Concrete Piller 2x2x11m" kuid:30671:40011 (Download from DLS), just put it all together and you have a Bridge. Well to get back to work, I'm going to start on the spillway, so more Screenies soon. -Robert-

Hi Montanawestren, all the dam parts are "Reskinned" assets from "Festett Malaszt / Painted Grace Workshop" it is most of the "FMA Elevated rail" assets by "vendel". Most all the textures I used to reskin with are from assets from the DLS.

Hi all, did some work on the 31 gate spillway on Rock Island Dam tonight, here's what I did so far, also started on the West powerhouse.
Here's three more Sceenies to ponder over. -Robert-

Thanks flyinsolo, it,s going to take some time to build this route, but I see the light at the end of the tunnel. (No, it's not train!):hehe: I'll be working on it some more today.

Hi all, it took some time to figure out what assets to use for the spillway gates, so this is what I came up with. Here,s a Screenie to ponder over.
Post more later. -Robert-

I like what you've made out of bits of this and that, but wanted to be sure you were aware that Vulcan has made some very nice dam items as well.

Hi Ed, yes I know, I have his Dam assets Downloaded already, here's a Screenie of my "Practice Layout" where I used his Dam assets. This map was started in TRS2004, then transferd it to TRS2006. I was trying to make it look kind of like Grand Coulée Dam.

thanks heyrey, one thing I see to do is make the gates look more like spillgates instead of like.....well warehouse rollup doors, (that's what they are!) I'll be working more on it Sunday.
