Multi Industry Seaport

Does anyone know if there is another version of the (tired one) Seaport that comes with the 2012 copy or the same one that's on the DS? It is hard to work with it. If you put track on it, it has to be elevated or it will be under the base of it. Also if you put other objects on it, they are very hard to remove - either the Seaport will be deleted or it will move out place, very annoying. Not to mention that it could be updated with several dozen industries to include exporting. Maybe one of you out there content creators can make a great project (4 baseboards - lol) out of it and tons of people would put your mane on Auran's hall of fame. Just a thought lol. If I knew how to do that there would be several versions out already!!...........thanks in advase for a response.......trainman53

I've seen other ports on the DLS. I can't remember who made them though.

The alternative is to use Multiple Industry New (MIN). You can setup different industries to create or accept different goods such as containers, finished goods, etc. With this you now have a multitude of combinations in your own seaport.
If you should desire to use the built-in one and decide to add additional objects, you can use the layer feature in TS12 to lock the seaport object while you adjust the other objects on the base. Once you get your objects in the desired location, you can then merge the layers all together.

On the route I am currently working on, I built a seaport rather than use the built-in one. I never thought of putting it on the DLS - maybe I should. But like most anything else in Trainz, it's all just bits and pieces, all of it on the DLS. My port unloads double stacked cranes on 2 berths, general cargo on another. In addition to multiple industry or multiple industry-new that JCitron mentioned, look on the DLS for cranes, wharves, docks, warehouses, container stacks, breakwater splines, container ships, cargo ships, tugboats, fireboats, trucks, etc etc. It's all there.
