MoW Equipment

Does anyone know where I can get a list of US MoW Equipment types and what they do? Also, does anyone know of anything on the DLS? The current ?plasser? stuff I have downloaded appears British.

Well, some basic pieces are speeders, cranes, ballast tampers, tie kickers among others.
Flat cars and old boxcars have long been part of MoW fleets along with retired coaches and cabooses.
You'll also generally find an older locomotive type pulling the train.

Hope This Helps,
Woody:wave:

Any information is welcome. What I am really looking for though is some kind of index with pictures and descriptions.

I took this picture a week or so ago of an old MoW train (minus the locomotive) that now sits behind a business in Muskegon, MI on a short bed of tracks... stranded... all alone. :(

And than I found these little guys, the first in Muskegon, MI in the North Yard and the second in Grand Haven, MI at the old Pere Marquette Station.

Any idea what they do?

These are what I am looking for and would like to see in trainz.

edit: I just downloaded your work cars. The DLS is being dumb today and taking forever showing the thumbnails. Which is odd because I am getting 300+kbs on my downloads. *sighs* If it is not one thing with the DLS it is another. =) As soon as a few other assets download I will check them out.

Nice gadgets but too modern for me.

Hope you find some you can use but you might have a long wait for thumbnails.
(I don't make them).:hehe:

Yeah, the DLS would not even tell me that! Normally if no thumb exists it informs you. Oh well, nice work cars but not quite what I am looking for as they are a bit old compared to the machines I am desiring.

I've seen the second one in a video. I think it clears the ballast around the sleepers, so they can be replaced by this big, complicated sleeper replacing device which takes out the old sleepers and puts new concrete ones in.... :o
