More stupid questions

Two things actually. Number one, Is there any OTHER manual I should be looking to download other then the simple one that several people have referred me to that is supposed to be the 2009 version but is VERY basic. Or is there one that goes into detail as to how things operate. I hate to keep bugging you guys on the Forum every time I need to do something. I have a decent grasp of the basics but, Number Two, how do you make use of the Content Search Filter. I want to mark and locate certain things from the selection menus, but cannot grasp how the thing works.
One more thing- What is a KUID?

a kuid is what train uses to identify each item. did you buy a box version or a digital download?

oh. if you had a boxed version it came with the manual. the manual it comes with is pretty basic though, so the only other manual out there is the content creation guide
