Mojave Sub DPU Scenario - Red Light Question

When you reach Rowen siding, which I believe is around mp347, there's a red light that doesn't change back to green, even after the other train passes.

Should I change it to Green manually, which I just did in order to continue? Is another train going to pass, and if so, how long is the wait?

Thanks,

Robert :)

As far as I can remember you can pass that red light, nothing happens, you can also drive around 8 MPH above the speed limit without control stopping the train. Use the free roam icon to go and see where the trains are that are holding you up. Save regularly and if you battle with broken couplers let the driver start the train again after you have stopped for a reason and then take over again at about 6 MPH . It takes practice because it is a tricky session but it can be done.

What would I need to do in order for the driver to start the train after stopping?

First of all you must assign a driver to the train so his face and name appears on the drivers list . ( click on the driver and order him to get on the specific locomotive ) , If there is no spare driver you can add drivers in surveyor under the 'edit session' window, if you tell a driver from another train to get off and go to your current train you mess up all his current orders.
( sorry if I am overexplaining ) You can then order this driver to drive anywhere forward of the place where you stopped or before stopping where you will have to stop. The signals ahead change automatically sometimes if you go to driver mode .Tell the driver to stop the train where you think it is safe when the speed is steady and take over yourself again.
If you save often and things go wrong you can just exit at that stage without saving and go back to before things went wrong. This is how I learnt, and I am still learning. It pays to watch the driver from within cab view and one picks up tips , most sessions ( physics ) are worked out quite realistic actually. You can also go into 'edit session' , and change the physics of the game to what suits you but it is not realistic then and there is a warning in the box to that effect too.
