Missing texture after reinstalling route

Get over it
Before I pull out what little hair I have left I need some suggestions from the members. I reinstalled a route that I had updated a while ago and I'm missing just one texture but it's spread throughout the route. I'm seeing a lot of small bare patches and I have no idea which texture I'm missing. Tried everything that I know but no luck. If I delete missing assets that won't help. Other than filling all the bare patches with a texture of my choosing is there a better/quicker way to do this? I'm looking at many hours just filling in the patches. Thanks.

I can't vouch for this, but it can't do any harm. I read in another thread some time ago that if you just plonk down a tree or another piece of scenery in Surveyor, then exit game, saving when prompted, then restart Trainz, go into Content Manager, and your route will show a Missing Dependency and that will be your texture. DL it.

As I say, I can't confirm that this works, and I can't find the original thread (the Search on these forums isn't up to much), but that's as best as I remember.

Hope it works, let us know, please.

Regards,

Ken

That won't necessarily work, but doing it repeatedly will eventually work!

A quicker way is to add a tiny bit of ground texture hard against a 'missing' area, that will force the new save to have a big think about ground textures. The unrecorded kuid should get updated.

Also 'Save As' will find it quicker than 'Save'.....

Got it. The offending texture was there all the time but I ignored it thinking it wasn't the one. Anyway, it was JJS_Grass with a big red ! Something about missing a texture .txt. Did an extended data base repair but that didn't help. One last shot. Revert to original. That did the trick. Something to remember for future references. Thanks for your suggestions.
