Missing kuid's

I know this is an old question but it is still a royal pain in the caboose. I don't know if fellow TRAINZers have had this problem but I frequently encounter this.
After downloading a particular item from the DOWNLOAD STATION and installing it in my program, it comes up with a message that a KUID is missing. I go searching for the item only to be told it is not on the DOWNLOAD STATION. I have used my TRAINZ 2004 program to access the DLS. I key in the KUID authers ID and the program loads in all the items but the one I am looking for is not there. I have a suggestion. Make sure that all KUIDS for that particular item are on the DLS. If not then state in the description where that KUID is located. This seems to happen more with rolling stock and locomotives more than any thing else.

Switchmaster, I will totally agree with your statement. Especially about something as simple as diesel locomotive, with a total of only six dependencies. And exactly one is missing every time. Cannot be found.

And in my case, this is by a high quality author whose previous locomotives I use and enjoy very often. Previously, his locos downloaded like a dream. Now there is one item missing and un-findable in each one. And there are other author's locos I have downloaded with this exact same problem.

Sometimes I fantasize that Auran is doing this on purpose to discourage downloading...(this is what they call neurotic thinking)!!!!:udrool:

Out of respect, I just accept it, and don't complain, but it is frustrating and disappointing. Bob P.
