Missing KUIDs (cnr's Wellcars)

Bankruptcy Blue
I've searched high and low for these and can't seem to find them. Help?

I've never had decent well cars before and I've tried downloading these before.

Thanks guys.

P.S. Does anyone know of any other GOOD well cars out there?

Best regards,
Mike

When I did used the parameters "kuid:58377" in my favorite search engine, the second match was to a post on TrainzProRoutes which stated that these were on DLS, and I just confirmed that they are there.

<kuid:49267:35004>

<kuid:49267:35005>

When I used the the search parameter "KUID:58377" in my favorite search engine, I came up with a description of these in another "missing asset" page, 35004 identified as a 20 foot container, and 35005 identified as a 40 foot container. I'd probably either delete these from the config.txt file of the well car, or substitute containers with different KUIDs.

LLJ is a member of the TPR team, so perhaps TPR is the place to seek this asset.

All five 'missing' dependencies are on the DLS :sigh:

Okay, well. I didn't see these searching on the DLS

<kuid:49267:35004>

<kuid:49267:35005>

And I know this one is on there, but CMP won't let me download it because it's "outdated by another version" or some stupid crap.

<kuid2:30671:69011:1>

So I just removed those 3 from the config file since they basically don't exist to download for anyone.

Shouldn't matter, they are all TRS04...

49267:35004

49267:35005

30671:69011

And that took exactly three minutes to find the content (again) and copy paste the urls. If that's too hard to get fantastic content running, I suggest you try another sim....

Andy :bigger sigh:

Andy, I don't see why you have to act like such an ass sometimes. I obviously was having trouble finding the KUID. Yes, I searched the DLS for the KUID MULTIPLE times. Had every box checked off for the versions, and pasted the KUID into the search box with the KUID circle filled in. Obviously something wasn't working for me.

And to tell me to find another sim? I guess I'm sorry for asking for some simple help. Jesus.

Seriously, Andy. Not cool.

Actually it does matter. TS2009 Build 40040 I find is back to, "not finding everything on DLS," again.:o CMP was mentioned in a post but not which Trainz version thus I ask for it. I believe you're not using TS2009 so I figure you're not up to date on this.
No sigh.:)

Mike I am always happy to help somebody find content, no problem.

What irked me was not your inability to find it, but comments like:

...it's "outdated by another version" or some stupid crap.

and

....removed those 3 from the config file since they basically don't exist to download for anyone.

which are blatantly incorrect. But don't worry, I shan't be upsetting you again :sigh:

As to the comment regarding 'which version' being irrelevant - what I meant was that the reference in the OP to CMP meant that the content should be available and working in whatever version of Trainz Mike was using.

IMHO nobody should rely on either CMP or CM2 to find content. CMP is next to useless, a manual search will invariably find content CMP claims not to exist. I don't have 09, but from what I read around the forums CM2 is maybe marginally better, but still far from reliable...

Andy :)

I've had the same experience Andy mentioned, trying to search for a KUID using all or part of the number, and receiving no hits when I had a high degree of certainty that the asset was there. Now, maybe I've just missed where this is documented, but I learned by mistake that in the CMP distributed with TRS 2006, if one is searching for by KUID, especially just part of the KUID ("49267") the search often fails to find any matches, but if one precedes the KUID with a "#", (#49267) the same search works (provided the asset is still on the DLS; there are a few which have been removed for one reason or another).

Author ID will also work with usernames. You caould search using either storknest or #85324 in the box to find my stuff for example. Handy when you know someone's ID but not their KUID#.

Didn't really comment on this but usually a new version is the same as the old one but improved, currently there's only 1 item I remember where the old one is different and this isn't it. CMP/CM2 usually downloads the new one, don't know why you would want the old one.

It is great at error checking even if your item is for an older Trainz. Still I have the, "cannot find DLS content older than a certain date," problem. As of Build 40040, if I install something but then delete it, when seeing the item on the DLS tab it shows the date I installed it not when it appeared on DLS. And now there's an obsolete ARN Icon, I have the new one but the old one refuses to allow deletion, it doesn't list as Builtin but it will not go away like a stalker ex.:eek:
