missing general goods

what do i need to download to get whatever is needed by the 2006 game?

I am not a computer technician. All I can say is that I get this message every time I play Klinger's Timber Ridge Line and I don't care at all. It has no effect. In Klinger's words "Always Narrow Minded". I almost never use TC, so I cannot really help you very much...

It sounds like something has gone wrong with your Trainz installation - the asset 'General Goods' is a built-in asset with a negative KUID number (which basically means it was made by Auran).

The kuid is <kuid:-3:10013> - if you can find it in Content Manager, right-click it, select Edit, then select Revert to Original and see if that solves the problem.

If it does not solve the problem, you may have to reinstall Trainz and any appropriate Service Packs (If it is TRS2006, SP1 has to be installed before running the game or CMP for the first time after installation)

Revert to Original is only available for builtin assets that have been modified.

Ron,
That error message is saying that the script for the industry asset it belongs to, is expecting to find an entry called "generalgoods" in the kuid-table but all that's available is "0" and "1".
If you know which asset is generating the error you could fix it by editing the kuid-table in the config.txt to include a line for generalgoods.

eg

kuid-table {
                generalgoods          <kuid:-3:10013>
                0                     <kuid:xxxxx:yyyyy>
                1                     <kuid:xxxxx:yyyyy>
    
}

mostly my industry is turned off
i dont like the goods trains creeping forwards and blocking the main line from either end while they load
i bring them to a trackmark and stop them for 5 minutes

it works for me

i could only find 2 industries that use general goods

factory 8 kuid1942:27019
industry container depot kuid`-5:10086

how can i know which one is the faulty one?

The first one you will be able to check using Content Manager - use the search box to find it - check for a red ! or a red ?.

The second one though may be a problem as it is a negative KUID - this means it may be built-in.

i found the 2 that were being used and i deleted them, but after committing and going into the game, it still came up with the same thing

any other ideas?

Ron,
As soon as you get the error, quit trainz and take a look in the jetlog.txt to see if you can identify the asset that is generating the error.
You can find it in \\Program Files\Auran\TRS2006\jetlog.txt.
If you like you can send the jetlog.txt to me and I will take a look for you.
