Misplaced Point/turnout Sounds

In TRS2012 I have at least one route where locomotives generate the point/turnout sounds regularly - and they are nowhere near a point/turnout.
Does anyone know of a remedy for this?

Hi Conductorphil,
The route is a downloaded one. It works okay in TRS2010 and the track and locos work okay when I put them on a test track. Not all locos are rattling the points.

Hi Allan,

It may be sound lag causing this. Check in Surveyor, open route to edit it, but don't save it afterwards, and find out what the track and turnouts are.

What I mean by lag is the sounds aren't keeping up with the video playback in driver. It's like the audio is out of synch when you watch movies or news broadcasts. The mouths of the actors move first, then the audio comes through a split second later.
This can be caused by a number of things including a fragmented hard drive, which affects performance overall and can cause stutters as the database is read while Trainz is running.

I wish there was a trackside asset (a fishplate, railjoiner) that you could place on a track, and it would make a railjoint/frog tracksound.

This would be an excellent idea. I wonder if it's possible?

The problem I see with something like this is a trigger-radius for each of the fishplates. Each one would have to be quite small so they don't get triggered by a passing train on multiple tracks.

I'm not a content builder or programmer, so I'll leave this up to the experts on this. :D

Thanks for your suggestions. Checked the track etc again and it is the same as is used elsewhere and on TRS2010. I did find a loco that performed without the problem and I think I will take the easy way out and stick to it and perhaps change loco sound to see if it works on other locos.
